I have 2 yorkies and one is easy to dress and the other is difficult. With Prince, I can just lift him up and pull the shirt over his legs and head like I am undressing a kid. Ricky has super LONG legs so I can't do that. I have to carefully fold his legs up and pull them through the holes as he tries to chew on his shirt and my fingers in protest.
One of the a jackets I've got is something that looks like a horse blanket. There is a strap goes under the stomach and has Velcro on the other side and a strap that hooks around his chest. It'seven easier than putting a harness on. I really recommend this for something that's easy on, easy off....like if your dog is just going out for a 5 minute potty break. When my dog was sick, I used it because I didn't want to have to pull a shirt on and off his head. It may not be the most stylish or cutest(not that it's bad looking either)....but it's warm, functional, quick and easy. I've got a sheepskin one that's similar as well..and I've seen quilted ones too |
