Ora-Vet Has anyone out there used Ora-Vet dental sealant? Sweetie just had her teeth cleaned at the vet today and we have started a new program called Ora-Vet - the vet puts it the 1st time then you reapply it at home every week (or 2 - not quite sure yet as I have an appointment in 2 weeks to learn how to use it). The vet says this will help keep the plaque from forming on her teeth and will hopefully keep her from having to have her teeth cleaned as often. Any input will be appreciated. Cyndi & Sweetie

How old is your pup and how much is the dental cleaner? I have never heard of this procedure. I have been brushing Buddy's teeth since he was 14wks and now use petzlife spray 2x a week also.($22.95) His teeth have no plaque and he will be 3 in Jan. Carol & Buddy

Sweetie is 5 years old - I tried using the PetzLife stuff but she absolutely HATES mint flavored anything! This is on a swab that you mostly just have to get close to her teeth to use - you run the swab over her teeth and her saliva does the rest - very similar to PetzLife but it is unscented and has no taste. It costs $27.00 for 8 swabs - I was told since she was small that I could probably use the same swab twice so that would be 16 weeks worth. There is a website: www.oravet.com Thanks! Cyndi
