| Thank you to my wonderful YT friends. I did not want to post this orginally just because of how bizarre it was. I am a very trusting person, but this really opened my eyes. I would like to add this comment. There have been many missing yorkies on this site. We all know the heart break & desperation that they have experianced until their baby was found. I have seen a few threads that they have never been found and my heart breaks for them. I could not imagine. As I mentioned before had the people said to me that their yorkie was missing & that Annie looked like theirs, I would have been all over helping them search. I do not want to take away from the recent thread of the missing yorkie. I believe that yorkie is missing and that the gal is doing what ever it takes to find her. I understand her desperation. I do not see anyway possible as to how these to 2 incidents could be related and I hope she finds her soon, cause the weather in WA is really bad right now. When Annie goes in to see Dr. Ed, I will now have her microchipped!!!

| OMG!!! Where have I been?? I just read this and my heart is racing so fast! I do not know what I would have done in that situation......when something like that happens, you don't think, you just do what your first actions are. I am glad I have a big truck because I probably would have rammed thiers out of the way! HA! Or ran their @$$ over or something! Course, in real life, I would probably have locked the doors and hightailed it out of there. I wish in these scary moments, we would think and get descriptions, plate numbers, etc......but, don't fret! I don't think any of us would have thought about that. It is sad that we live in a world that people behave the way they do. I hope that if this women did have a lost Yorkie that it is found and if she is just out to steal one, I hope she gets caught. I would go ahead and file w/ the police and ask if there is any notice of a missing Yorkie or something.....I would give them all the info you can. That would be some peace of mind.....some, not much! I have never (EVER) let anyone hold Mojo and never will! He seldom walks when we are in public, not because he is too good to walk....it just isn't safe! It is just so sad to have to live in fear of our furbabies and skinbabies getting snatched up! God Bless and Keep You Safe!

| WOW, what a story. You poor thing. I'm never letting strangers touch my babies again. I'm typically the type of person that trusts everyone. My fiancee who's a police officer always tells me how naive I am. I guess he's right. Your story really seems like they were scammers. Since they didn't follow you?? Come on, if I lost one of my babies and thought I saw them I'd be following the people until I ran out of gas. I think everyone on here would do the same thing. Nooooooooo way would I watch the person drive away if I truly thought the dog was mine. I'm glad you posted your story because its really opened my eyes on how careful I need to be. Thank you May I suggest that you tell your story to the local newspaper? Tell them what the vehicle was and every little detail like you told us. Hopefully it would help others to be more careful and scare these people if they truly were scammers. Regardless, glad you and your babie are ok.

| It's really suspicious that they did not follow you if they thought you had their baby. Good for you for leaving. That is not the time to discuss it, alone with 2 of them coming at you. We were walking on the pier at South Haven, MI on a holiday weekend. Lots of people. Our Maltese, Jack, was on my leash and somehow he got behind me. I felt the leash go slack and turned around to find some woman holding him and trying to undo his collar. He never growled at anyone but he started to howl at her. I snached him away and she just looked at me and said "Oh, is he yours? I thought he was loose!!" I carry my babies now when there's a crowd. You never know what nut is going to crack around them.

| That is CRAZY! I can't believe people sometimes. I am so glad nothing happened to you or Annie. I actually do not let people outside of my friends hold ZOe. THey can pet him but no way are they holding him.

| Scam or no scam this is one reason I chose to microchip the boyz. Heaven forbid but someday it may be your only defense and protection from something like this. I'm glad everything is o.k. |

| I think it might have been this lady who lost her dog. Check the thread below http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59779

| thank you so much for posting this. I am so trusting with people holding layla.. but i'm going ot have to think twice now... it is a little sketchy that they didn't follow you or try and contact you via your license plate... sounds a litte fishy to me... hope you never have to experience that again. people who are concerned about their missing yorkie should NEVER approach someone in that manner.. even if you DID have their yorkie.. after being approached like that.. i'd run too.. it doen'st sound legit to me. |

| WOW! I bet you were scared. I would have first said..is your yorkie microchipped? if she said yes.. we would have went to scan right then and there to prove it was not hers. if she would have said no...I would have said lets make a trip to the vets and prove this is mine. dishonesty in people just make me sick. they are too lazy to earn money and have to take from other people to get something. crazy world these days. Maybe you better get the microchip right away. I would also report it to the police.
