| HELP, I need ideas, FAST! Hi everyone! I want to enter my yorkie (Gabby) in a Christmas Pet Parade in my town, and since I'm not very creative, I am looking to you yorkie fans to give me some ideas. What ideas do you have on dressing her up as, or how to fix her up, etc etc. The folks around here in the past have gotten so creative, and I want to knock their socks off! I've thought about typical santa hats, etc, but she's not a real fan of the hat on her head. My gab is 8 lbs, so she's not ever-so-tiny or anything. Any and all ideas would be appreciated!!! I am having my daughter walk with her, so I will have her dressed up as well. Thanks!

| If you like the "present" idea, I was in a store called Claire's at the mall yesterday and they had a doggy shirt that was made to look like a present. It was a red t-shirt with green sequins going across and top to bottom like a ribbon. It was cute. I think most malls have Claire's shops if you are interested in that.

| Is she walking in the parade or will you be putting her in something with wheels? Could you dress her up like Santa and make a really cool sleigh? Or what about dressing her like one of the sleeping mice in the "Night before Cristmas." The Grinch? How about a little float with a Christmas tree on it and a sign that says "Now remember puppy, that isn't just any old tree!" |

| Thanks to everyone for their imput, I appreciate it, and after not finding any Christmas clothes around here (guess I waited too long) I started asking around to my family, etc as well. Loved all your ideas about the Manger, etc, that's cool too. With a little help and input from my daughter and husband, this is what we're doing........ I'm taking a wooden pallet and making it into a float. Going to put holes on each side in the front and connect a rope so we can pull it. My hubby will put rolling wheels on the bottom of float. Going to place fabric on top of float, and have it hang over to touch the ground. (you know, just like what a huge float would do) Then my hubby is building a large snoopy dog house, I will paint it red, place it on the float. Decorate Doghouse with battery operated lights. Put a small tree (Charlie Brown tree) on other part of float, and do the same with the lights. I have a 12 in snowman that is battery operated and has a blowing snowglobe in that, going to sit that on the float as well. Then I'm going to put a sweater on gabby, take marker and put a big black spot on the back of sweater, and put that temp. colored hairspray (white) and spray on her paws and backside where the sweater doesn't cover. Buala! Charlie Brown Christmas, complete with the Snoopy Dog!!!! I also have a Charlie Brown doll that's about 15 in high and I am going to attach him close to the tree. Hope we win! haha Put all this on here, IN CASE anyone wants to copycat for any pet parades. Very, Very simple and really only take about an hour of prep! Merry Christmas!
