| Christmas gift baskets? Does anyone know where to get a REASONABLE gift basket for our furbaby friends for Christmas? I want to purchase approx 4 baskets for some family and friends babies but the ones I have seen are all around $40-$110 and thats just WAY to much. I just want a simple, cute basket with a couple treats and maybe a small toy, to show I am thinking of them.....any ideas? Maybe I should just buy the stuff and make my own? |

| A breeder friend of mine makes her own baskets to send home with her puppies. You could go to Walmart and buy some small baskets in the crafts dept. Then put something in it like the colored cellophane paper and tuck some treats here and there. maybe some nice pet shampoo, etc. then you could put a big red Christmas bow on the handle. |

| I agree, I bet you could make something for not too much. Michael's usually has baskets at 50% off. You could even try Goodwill or thrift store. Another idea would to be to put the stuff in a dog bowl or something instead of a basket. My target still has a bunch of the Santa Paws or Master of the House ones that are shaped like bones in the $1 section.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Make your own, you'll get a lot more value for the money, and it's so much more personal. Little baskets that can hold grooming supplies, small baby washcloths, your favorite toys, bows, bandanas, and there are even recipes for doggy treats available if you get adventurous. Maybe even a framed photo of their pet, don't overlook the dollar store for ideas. Show us a picture when you’re done. Nancy |

Or there is this one too (another YTer) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58613 But, I like the idea of making your own too....it is more personal and you get a variety of things to put in it..... Good luck!

| Hi, my furbabies have one furcousin and for Christmas I got a plain stocking from walmart and put her name on it in glitter and I plan to fill it with a few treats. The stocking was only like $3 and it would be up to you on how much you want in the stocking. Just a thought. Good Luck
