| Lily's babies.... Well, well, well.....It has been 3 weeks today since we welcomed Lily's 5 babies into this world! What an eventful 3 weeks it has been!!!! We have been through so much.....losing Lily and then losing Chance...one of the puppies. I would not wish this on my worse enemy! No one deserves to go through this! I look back now at the past 3 weeks and feel like it was a bad dream or maybe just a big blur filled with so much hurt. We did have to take one of the puppies (Kiko) to the vet last Wed. night......he has pnemonia.....vet gave him amoxi drops and suggested that we go ahead and give drops to the rest of the puppies also to be on the safe side. By the way, we have switched vets....I can't help but feel like everything wasn't done to Lily that could have been, but maybe that is just my opinion. Kiko seems to be doing much better and the rest of the puppies are also doing great. We weighed them again and they are all between 6 and 8 ounzes each. They are each taking about 1 oz of formula at each feeding now which is a lot to me! We no longer have to have a ribbon tied around their neck to tell them apart, because we are starting to see each of their own personalities and they all look so different! Kiko has a tad bit of white on his chest, the tips of his front paws and also right under his bottom lip.....I don't think that is a 'yorkie' trait, but we don't mind it at all.....he is beautiful just as the rest of them are!! They are trying their best to walk or rather hobble around and when we go near their box, they crawl to the front and try climbing out to us.....too sweet. They will never take the place of Lily, but they have their own place in my heart now that is helping me deal with the lose of Lily. I must admit, things do get better......I sure didn't think they would in the beginning, but they do. I really appreciate everyone on here that has helped me through this rough time......as I said before, I feel like you guys have more of an idea of what I was feeling and it was very comforting. Thanks! I would love to see other puppies around the same age....3 weeks....as mine, just to see the difference or similarities. I am posting picture of them I took this morning, but it isn't a very good one.....how do people get those perfect pictures where they are all looking at the camera and not moving around...LOL!! Thanks again everyone!!!!!! |

| my babies Sounds like you are doing a great job!! So much heartache and love, huh?? I can't even imagine. Keep up the great job. Here are some pics of my babies when they were 3 weeks, they are almost 8 now. My one male has a white line down the center of his chest. But as he growing and getting furrier, it is fading. Your babies look very sweet. It is hard to take pics., as they get older they squirm and wiggle and it is REALLY hard to get a good picture.

| I can't blame you for changing vets. I'm sure I'd done the same thing. So glad the rest are still surviving! And hope this new vet is a very good one for you. I hate what all you went though. That breaks my heart! I made a suggestion in the suggestion forum for the breeding section, but I haven't seen it done yet. Will keep the pups in my prayers! You must be one awsome person to be able to feed the babies, and grieve at the same time! That has to be hard. I know they have to be fed quite often that young. Whatever your doing, keep doing it. Your certainly doing something right! |

| They are precious and you are doing a wonderful job with them! I don't blame you for changing vets. I had to, too. The trust just isn't there anymore after a death, moreso when it was preventable I'm so sorry that you are going through this. So, are you going to keep them all, or what?

| Here is a picture of Roxi's little boy at 3 weeks. He was a really porker. do you have them eating out of a bowl yet? When Roxi's were 3 weeks old we had to wean them from her, and feed them puppy formula and they did pretty good just drinking out of the bowl. then at about 4 weeks I took the dry dog food that I was going to be feeding them and ground it in the food processor so it was a course powder and started mixing that with the milk. You are doing such a good job with the pups. Lily would be proud.
