| New to this site.. Pls help with motion sickness. Hi YT, I am new to this site and I would like to introduce myself. I am the proud mommy of a 4 month old boy “sparky”. I always wanted a yorkie and I finally got it. I live in NY and flew to TX to visit a friend and so happen that I was looking at the TX papers and saw a breeder. I called her and was able to arrange to do all the paper and pick up sparky during my stay in TX and bringing him back to NY. It is hard to find a reputable breeder in NY. I’ve looked at stores and they are cute yorkies, but I am 100% sure they are from puppy mills. The puppies are so cute and they are innocent, but the store charges an arm and a leg. He was drooling on our drive home from the breeder house and I didn’t know why, being known to me as a first time mommy. Then on the way to the airport I had him in the carrier and he threw up and was drooling. I didn’t understand. I was afraid that he would bark in the airplane because I took him with me as a carry on. It was a 2 hour flight and he was good. Though he was exhausted, he made it back to NY with no problems. The next day he was we’ll rest and was to his normal self. After reading the yorkie talk I realize that he has motion sickness. Last week I drove to the Laundromat just like 4 min drive. He started drooling in the car when I started the ignition. Tissues were all soaked. Then after we arrived to the Laundromat he threw up. When I held on him and walk he still drools. People tell me that he will get over it. This weekend I am bringing him to a groomer in the city and I have to drive 30 min to the city. I don’t know how he is going to hold up in the car ride. I don’t want him to get groom and then he throws up. It would be pointless for grooming. Does anyone have any suggestion? When he is at the house he is fine and dandy. Any suggestion would help.

| WELCOME TO YT!!! My bunny dose the same thing.. Well use too... I talked to my vet, when Bunny was little and he said she should grow out of it. He said most of them do, but some dont... There is nothing they can do for it, really. When I would go for a car right with Bunny, I would stick the air on her and it seemed to help. Also Try letting him look out the window or let him see where he is going... Bunny didnt care for looking out the window too much... after a few mins, of me driving, she would fall a sleep and be fine.... |

| Maggie had the same reactions when we go on car trips until we discover Bach's Rescue Remedy. Just one drop, she is okay to go on trips. You can find the rescue remedy at any natural food store. It is made for humans.
