Awww...I will definitely keep you and Mojo in my prayers! I am sure he will be fine! Chloe had stitches and she did great with them. Keep us updated!

Awww Please pray for chewy too!!! I didn't want to start a new thread becasue I saw this one but I would feel better if I knew my YT sisters were praying!!!!

Chewy is only 4 pounds and it seems he won't get much bigger.... I thought he would be around 7 pounds but I guess as long as he is healthy I don't care.... I can't wait till it is over and done with.... He is my darling baby!!!!

Mojo will be on my mind all day along with Chewy and the other yorkies here that are getting done soon!!!!!

He will breeze right through. Monte was a champ when he got neutered. Best wishes to Mojo and you!!

What is everyone's take on the microchips? I haven't decided if I wanted to get this done while Mojo was "under" or not............I just can't decide??!!!

We live way out in the sticks and he is most always on a leash. Anytime we go somewhere and take him, he stays w/ us, never alone in the car or hotel room. So I just don't know......there's always (heaven forbid) that chance of something happening, but I JUST DON'T KNOW!

Grayson came to us with the micro chip, I am glad it is there so if he gets lost he will make his way back home to us!

I have seen a dog get "fixed" it was christmas day and my friend who has a few Bassett Hounds and breeds them once in while called up and said hey my dog is in labor if your not doing anything come help me should be about 12 or so pups! I thought WOW never have seen puppys born before so I head off and about an hour later trouble starts and we call the vet and rush over on Christmas!! They have to do a C-section on her doggie and call in the staff and we are all watching these pups and then due to whatever was wrong they have to spay the dog. VERY interesting to see, HOWEVER if it had been my dog I would have been a wreck as my friend was! Glad I was there for her!

I got niko microchipped as i live in an apt so any one can take him. I got it done at a animal shelter. Only $10. I would get it just in case something does happen. You know there are weird people out there.

It hurted him, he cried. After like 20 seconds he forgot all about it.

I would say go for it.

I think you should get him chipped. You never know if he'll slip out, and getting him chipped could be the difference of if he gets returned to you or not. I would definitly say it's worth it!

That is what I am thinking......"you just never know" so it is better to be safe than sorry. Plus, he will be "out" too, so he shouldn't really be affected by having it done. I have heard that sometimes the chip moves around?? Don't know if that is true or not........My DH is still not sure he approves of having that done or not......so....I'm still debating! Aurgh!

Yup better safe than sorry. I wouldnt want any thing happen to any ones baby. Here people will take the dog off the leash.

but if something does happen there is always a way to show that he is yours. I dont think it moves around. with all his hair, i couldnt even tell he got the shot. The needle is big but the chip is tiny.

I am getting chewy chiped because if he got lost and some one else found him they can take him to a vet or shelter and they can scan him and my name will come up. If he got stolen, the vet scans any new dog that comes in...( I would call all vets and shelters any way to tell them he was missing) that way the first time he went to the vet they would know he was not with his owner. Chewy will get it while he is out also which is the best way to go!

I am thinking about getting Dash done soon, the vet also said something about checking his trachea while he is under to make sure everything is fine (he doesn't sound like he has a tracheal collapse, but sometimes after running around like crazy he makes a little clicking sound...I think I am just paranoid) but I will get that checked when he is under.
