Who cares what they listen too? When I was 8 I was listening to Dr. Dre, Tupac, Snoop and they rapped about a lot worse things then 50cent (no S). I turned out fine, I'm not in any gangs, don't do drugs, and don't kill people, or any of the other negative stuff they rapped about.

TO each their own but my child won't be listening to any kind of music that sings or raps about... killing people, doing drugs, joing gangs, having sex ,and so on....

I have to agree on this one. Who wants a 8 or 9 year old talking about "I'm into having sex, I'm not in to making love...(50 cent)" or "I'm a slaaave 4 you...(Britney)".

I am sure there are worse lyrics and no matter what WE listened to as kids...it just doesnt SEEM like it's half as bad as what's out there TODAY. I grew up to listening to 70's and 80's music...and I still enjoy listening to it. Nothing like boppin to some Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson (Beat It days!!), Phil Collins...boy I could name more. Makes me want to get the TAPES out!!! Who did I miss??
