| I have a gruel available for my puppies, when I have them, but the real one that weans them is their mother. When she has had enough, and feels they are doing ok, she will wean them herself. |

| I soak dry pup food in hot water til soft and add a little cottage cheese. Make sure it is the consistancy of soup. Stick their little face in it, just enough to get it around their mouth so they will lick it. They'll catch on before you know it and as they eat more mom will nurse less.
