| roxies going to the vet! Welps its time for roxies last set of vaccines, and her rabies, which im terrified that shes getting it, i feel shes still too young, but they have to have it here in NC by the time they are 4 months. Also, that bad cough she had due to tonsilitus still hasn't gone away, shes been on antibotics for a month, and temeril P tablets for about 2 weeks. I Thought it was kennel cough at 1st, but the vet said it was her tonsilis were swollen, and hopefully we can get this taken care of today. Shes been sick since the day we got her Also she had her 1st puppy class at petsmart last tuesday, which went very well, i really like the trainer, and theres only 1 other dog in the class so we each get quite a bit of attention, and she being the smaller one, thinks shes bigger,(the other dog is a beagle mix, that is a rescue dog, found in a dumpster, named Ginger) But it seems to be going well, i cant wait to get into the commands, it should be fun!! She is also getting spayed on the 26th of this month, also very scary but i made sure the vet uses gas anathesia, and hopefully she will make it through alright, i trust my vet. Her potty training is awful! she has such a tiny bladder, and doesnt release it all, so usually she ends up going 3-4 tiny spots before its all out, and its a pain cleaning up the carpet all the time, im starting to think im cinderella always cleaning on my hands and knees!! Her biting is getting a little better, the trainer at petsmart gave me a bottle of bitter apple and she hates it! (i figured she would like it!) but hopefully she will learn soon that biting is a NO-NO! I found the frost paws ice cream, and need-less to say, she loves it! One of her ears is starting to stand, its still flopped over, but its not as floppy as the other, so im praying they will go up soon! even though shes adorable with floppies! hehe I got a camera, and im taking pictures, so in about a week or so i should have some really good pics of her!! anyways sorry for the long entry, i havent updated in a while!! hope you guys are doing well!! also Aimee- glad to hear sandy is back home! poor thing, me and roxie send lots o' puppie kisses and huggies! Michelle CONGRATS on winning puppy of the month!!! you deserve it!!! Last edited by ashley; 05-06-2005 at 10:53 AM. Reason: mispelling |

| I am sorry Roxie is not feeling well. Chachi is getting his rabies tomorrow also. I don't know if I would go through with it if he were sick also. I hope she does okay with it I am sure she will. She'll just need alot of TLC. Take care.

Can I ask how old Chachi is & how much he weighs? I was supposed to take Tucker tomorrow to get his rabies shot - but I chickened out!! I postponed it for a week. He's almost 5 months, but only 2.5 pounds - I'm just nervous to get this done. Can you please let me know how he does afterward?? Thanks!!!!

| Chachi is 4 months and 5 lbs. I don't blame you for being nervous. Alot of people don't get the rabies untill 6 mos. This is when my vet does it but I wonder if I should be getting this done this young. My vet is very adament that you stay on the vaccination schedule. My husband says I need to listen to the vet. Hopefully he will do fine with it.

Well, he's gotten everything else except for the rabies shot. The vet put it off last time we were there because he was getting another set of shots & she didn't want to do too many in a short period of time. I only postponed the appointment for 1 week (like that will make a difference!). I just think that my vet has more experience with larger dogs than small ones so I thought I'd ask around here...
