| holy (insert bad word here) ....that IS A rip off ! Petco must be trying to overcharge to compensate for all the NON Returning customers. V, I left Petco and took him to another grooming place, they charged me the $64.50. I thought that was alot of $ but it was after the fact. I never questioned the amount beforehand. My error! |

It's probably my fault that she didn't cut hardly any off as I emphasized that I was trying to grow them out. I also said please do not cut their topknots or the hair by their eyes. I guess I didn't communicate very well. I think I will start trimming them myself. I always shave my long hair chihuahua down in the spring and have gotten pretty good at that. It's just shaving the ears that make me really nervous. Maybe I need to get smaller clippers for them.

| IT always depends on the area you live....I never charged by the amount of hair I cut off..I charged for the number of things the owner want me to do..bath, nails, trimming, dematting, ear cleaning, whatever...made no difference to me if I cut off one inch of hair or 6 inches... |

| My groomer charges me $15 for the works, but I think that she gives me a discount because I carry him every 3 weeks. I really love her, she owns yorkies so she takes really good care of my boy! |

| Looks to me you got just what you ask for. Why would you expect her to cut the hair if you told her you were going to grow it out? She probably just evened things up for you and it looks like she did a nice job. Did you remember to tip? Debbie Ray |

I use the skinny black one for under the eyes just to get the stray hairs and I also use a personal trimmer for the same reason - but the wahl is the one you would really need most - WALGREENS has them for under 10 $ and don't forget ...always shave in the direction of the hair and never against the edge of the ear - it can gouge their ears - just shave against the FLAT part in an upward motion - swipe swipe you're done !

Cheri requires a bit of talking to and relaxing but will sit too - with her - I keep her in my lap when I do her ears...it works way better than having her stand on a table cause she tends to jerk her head. The WAHL trimmers are sold in Walgreens I think without the attachments - I've never used them so you really don't need them - SALLY'S Beauty supply also sells them as does Targets & Walmart

| I think that I am going to groom Jake myself from now on. I took him to the groomer and when i got him picked him up and really looked at what she did..... I said to myself "I could have saved $50.00 and did this myself. Also I would have to wait 4 hours. But you live and you learn. |
