| Is Poppy in heat? Hello everyone! Greetings from Finland where we have just witnessed our first snow of the year! I wonder can you please advise me...I am pretty sure that Poppy is in heat for the first time, She is 1 year old and my boyfriend notice one or two small drops of blood on the floor after she went to the loo. I examined her and she is quite red down below and there is some blood and she is doing alot of cleaning in that region. Does this sound about right? Anyway if this is the case, I am wondering is there anything I should be doing for her? Apart from the diapers and keeping her away from male callers...does she need any other type of food...or something...? Thanking you for your kind advice as always.

| Sounds like she is in heat. Have you tried doggy diapers.

| Hello, Watch out for the boys and I like to give my girl a scrambled egg every once in a while and some yogurt...I think she needs the protein & calcium. Cheers, Lilpony |
