| scared of carrier bag, Help!! I bought Sawyer a new ( his first) carrier bag. He is terrified of it, he acts like I am trying to put him in a coffin! I really want to use one, because I take him ev erywhere with me, and 3 pounds is easy to carry, but sometimes I need both hands. I tried to find one of those little sacs you wear on your front, like a backpack, but I can't find one small enough. Has anyone else had this problem?? By the way, I love this site so much. Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hi, You could try putting a trat in there and leave it out in the open so he can explore at his own pace. Cali loves her Celltei bag so much she will go in and sit in it in the closet if I leave the door open. I think he just needs to get use to it. Once he realizes he is going with when you get the carrier out he may get to like it. Good luck

| thanks Thanks for the reply, I will try that. I put a little chicken in the bottom when I tried to get him to use it the first time, and he will usually do anything for a bit of chicken, but no dice. I just assumed he would be ok with it; I should have known better, these little guys should never be assumed" This is the most wonderful breed in the world, and one of the most frustrating, I guess that is why we are all prisoners of Love.

| First of all - welcome to YT. It's a wonderful site and ppl are very helpful and informative. I have the same problem with Piccolo. Everyday I just put him in a bag for a few minutes even if we are not going anywhere. I hope he'll get used to it. I bought a front carrier - but he just stands in it and doesn't want to sit down.

| Mine doesn't mind the carrier BUT he throws up everytime he is in it. Thank goodness it's washable. He has very bad motion sickness.

| How old is Sawyer? It might just take some getting used to. I would leave the bag out so he can sniff it and become used to it. Once he's a little more comfortable, just try carrying him around the house and then let him out. You can build up to more time as he becomes less scared. Jaxon goes CRAZY when I pull out his carrier bags and can't wait to go in them, even though he has no idea where we're going.

| Jacksons mom that sounds like a great idea. sawyer is 4 months old, and he won't let me out of his sight. I love him so much sometimes I get teary eyed just looking at him. He uses a playyard for training, and the other day he flipped his bed over and used the bottom like a trampoline to try to get out of the pen, and he was jumping so high, he almost made it. Lol.
