| Rocko and Coco are fighting My Yorkies are fighting. I thought it was over a toy so I took the toy away. There are times when they can just be standing there looking at each other and they just go at it. My concern is that one of them will get hurt. The fighting can get pretty intense. I am now able to tell when they are get ready to start fighting and I separate them. I just don't understand why they are fighing. They have been together since Rocko was 4mo age and Coco was2mo,They are 1yrs ago now. Please help.

| OMG I must say your babies are ADORABLE!! Mine fight sometimes and I don't know what to do most of the time...just tell them to stop. Once they calm down I put them both on my lap and talk to them and tell them that they have to be nice to eachother and place them right next to eachother. Once they are calm they start to give eachother kisses and I then I tell them how good they are and that fighting is not nice. I think they understand me too...lol The problem is that Mimi is dominant and she doesn't like to share. She takes everything away from my boy and whenever I buy them something I always get 2 so they each have their own but she doesn't care she will take them both. Timmy will not dare to go up to her and take it away...he'll just stand at a distance and bark at her. She will bite him if he does try to take it away...guess he's just learning to deal with her. When I see her doing this I go up to her and tell her NO and take it away from her or if she's got both I take one and give it back to Timmy. |

| With faces like that I know you can't stay mad at them for long! One is just trying to be the alpa dog. I only have one so I can't help you. I would guess it must be stressful when they go at it. I am sure someone here will give you the answers. Good luck. Carol & Buddy |

| Hi are they both neutered, I assume they are both males? I usually keep a little squirt bottle handy and if anyone even looks like they are about to fight, they get a squirt. They run for cover and that's the end of it. Now I just pick it up and they break off immediately. |

| Rocko is a boy and Coco is a girl . I was going to mate them but Rocko had a genetic problem with his hip.He had to have surgery and the vet recommended that they get sprayed and neutered. So, Rocko had surgery on his hip and coco was fixed. Rocko will get neutered in a couple of weeks. He is still healing from is hip surgery

| I don't know, I only have one now. Maybe they are just jealous and Coco is being dominant? The combination makes them fight? Hopefully you can talk them in to being nice with each other. Somehow I really like that idea.

| Boy, That's a hard one. I love them both so much I wouldn"t know how to choose. My little girl required more attention from me.I think it's from me having my boy first. I would love to have more maybe one day.

| my scampi and zac started fighting after being together for about 5 years and they were dad and son who use to love each other to bits. i noticed the only thing that had changed was i was taking more notice of zac cos he had been ill and it had upset the balance between them as scampi was top dog and zac thought as i was giving him more attention than normal it must mean he was now top dog so would attack scampi for no reason, and the fights were really bad, at one point my mum and i had to hold zac and scampi on the floor for over an hour and a half so they couldnt shake each other as we couldnt get them to let go of each other, we put them in the shower but they didnt let go , the vet said if that didnt work grab zacs er how should i say this? er dog dangly bits but that didnt work so he said pinch his nose but that didnt work, so we had to just hold them untill they got tired. the fighting went on for months and we had to keep them apart, untill i noticed i had given zac the wrong message of being top dog so i made a point of stroking scampi on my lap and turning zac away, feeding scampi first and making zac wait and things like that untill i saw things go back to how they use to be between them, it was hard but it did work so the one who has had the op give him less time and the girl more of your time and see what happens. good luck.
