Love the Lookout! We also have the console lookout, as seen in post #8. Crystal absolutely LOVES it. In fact if it's been taken out she looks all over for it when we put her in the car. We recently took a 2 hr. road trip, the only time she got up at all was when she needed to tinkle, got back in and went right back to it. At about 10 wks. old our breeder dropped her off for us to babysit while she went to a Dr.'s appt.. About half of the time we were out running errands,(and showing her off to family and friends) the whole time she was in the seat. At 12 weeks, when we picked her up, we were getting ready to leave, set her in the front seat of the Suburban and she instantly ran to the seat, jumped in it and laid down. The two of us and the breeder were laughing our butts off.

Ah ha! I see. That makes sense. Thanks so much for the explanation! Howie has a car harness right now, but the Lookout is on his xmas list to Santa. Lol.

Adonis loves his! We make trips from Mobile, AL to Austin Tx about 3-4 times a year. He can see out the window from it. We've almost wore the thing out I got Venus one last month, and she seems to like riding in it better than any other way I've taken her so far. His is light color, and hers is black. I didn't have a choice of colors at petsmart when I got either of them. Wish they both were black. I got his in 03, and hers just last month. Both fold up easily, and go behind one back seat when not in use. They take almost no time to set up too.

I have two "Lookout carseats" and both my dogs love them. I put them in the back seat and they're totally content riding back there for hours. They are funny though - because every once in a while I look back there and they have traded seats - and then the next time I look back, they are in the same seat, etc. They love to look out the windows at everything - but both of them take long naps if we're in the car for very long. I couldn't do without my carseats --- One of the best things is that I can put them in anyone's car. And - they stay in their carseats well - and never bark or whine - and never hurt anyone's car. I have friends with new cars with leather seats - that totally enjoy taking my dogs for a ride. ***** I personally don't like my dogs running around - getting in and out of my lap, or wanting to ride in my lap, while I'm driving. This is not a good thing for either one of us. Right? Carol Jean

Thank you all so much for your input! I think I will invest in a car seat for Indy. I think I will buy the console one because I think he would be better if he was next to me. The pictures some of you posted were absolutely adorable!! It was great to see how the seats look with your precious furbabies in them. I may even get one for my Jack Russell. She is good in the car but gets nervous when I am in traffic. I slammed on my brakes one time and she went flying before I could even get my arm over there and ever since she gets a little nervous in traffic. She would probably love to feel secure. YT has come through for me again!! Thanks! Kim & Indy
