| My Introduction Hi everyone! I am the proud parent of a 4 month old yorkie. I am really pleased to have found this website, and im sure i will be visiting a great deal! I have one question at the moment...due to unforseen circumstances i will have to leave my yorkie with a pet sitter for roughly two weeks at the end of the year. She will be about 6 months old at that time. Will this be ok? Will she still remember me and retain a bond with me? Im worried she will feel abandoned and will bond with her sitter instead Any input appreciated here. Thx |

| Layla is 7months and a few days a month she goes to a sitters' house. I always worry she is going to be mad at me when i pick her up.. but she is always so happy to go (they have 2 labs... she loves big dogs) and even happier when i get back. Even though you are leaving your pup for longer than a few days... there is no way she is going to forget you. If you crate your puppy, send with her a shirt you have worn to keep in the crate. this will reminde her of you and also comfort her when she sleeps. To make yourself feel a little better give her some extra lovin leading up to the two weeks. Oh and welcome to Yorkie Talk!!! we are here for you! |
