I met the surgeon today, he is very nice and very confident. Lexi is doing so good and was so playful today. Her surgery will be at 8am, so I will not beable to post till after surgery. I am going to go to the vets at 7am tomorrow and as soon as she is out of surgery I am going to come home so she can rest. (I don't want her to get excited) Besides once the surgery is over I think I may be able to sleep. Oh yeah, she is also having her skin allergy test done (hopefully her last one) also while she is under, and as long as all goes well she will get to come home Fri morning. I am excited and scared to death at the same time.

Now as for all of you, I want to say thank you from the bottum of my heart. You have all been so supportive and so kind. I have never met such wonderful people. I have had the sweetest PM's and e-mails with such warm thought and prayers.

Kristin a special thank you to you too, I don't even know what to say. You have made me feel so special. You are truely an angel. My Lovely Lexi is a total snuggle bug and I know she is going to love one of your blankets.

Staph infections can be spread through contact with pus from an infected wound, skin to skin contact with an infected person, and contact with objects such as towels, sheets, clothing, or athletic equipment used by an infected person.

Deep Staphylococcus infections can be very severe. Prosthetic joints are particularly at risk, and staphylococcal endocarditis (infection of the heart valves) may be rapidly fatal.

Lexi had open wounds from her allergies and this was to out come.

The actual surgery went very well, they got all of the black mass and it wasn't actually touching her spine (that is great news). The incision is very little about an inched and stiched way better than the spay stichs, heck you can barely even see it. They started surgery at about 8:15 and was done by 9:30, but my baby had a lot of trouble coming out of the Anastasia and then when they did finally get her to respond she got very sick.( I hope she never has to be put under again and I am so glad they did the skin test while she was already under) She seems to be doing better but still a little sick. The vet did tell me when they have that much trouble coming out of the Anastasia that it is normal to be sick for a while. 2 weeks ago yesterday she weighted 7lbs 6ozs, and today she only weighed 6llbs 1oz.(they said this could be a bit of a good thing though cuz she was a bit on the chunky side) I so can't wait til this night mare is over. I am going to try so hard to sleep tonight and I actually ate when I came home.

The vet is going to call me tonight around 6 to let me know how she is and I will be back up there tomorrow.
