| ![]() When Adonis was a puppy, he chewed the corners off the computer armoire. I've confined Venus to the kitchen, and since I saw of so many "cord chewers", I have my laptop cord up high, and it will stay that way. All other cords are up high too. I'd read a thread about putting "clear deoderant" on all wood furniture that will keep them from chewing on it. I did this in the kitchen. Had to do all the baseboards, along with the table, chairs and china cabinet. Since there was nothing else to chew on that didn't have that "deoderant taste" she chewed a hole in my linolium flooring! I know the spots I've missed with the deoderant..... they have bite marks on them ![]() Got a feeling this girl will be confined to the kitchen or the crate till she's 2! |

| ![]() ![]() Well Teddy doesn't get too much freedom as of yet so not really. But he did chew off about 4 inches (totally) of the bottom of the door jam molding in the bathroom. Little buger was only alone in there for about 15 minutes! ![]() If it counts though, my Golden has chewed about 3 seperate holes (one rather large missing piece) in the skirt of my $3000 love seat and it matching automen. She pushes her balls under there and then tries to get them out. I have watched her and she does it on purpose...like a game! ![]() I tried to ban her balls from the upstairs but it didn't last long...hence more than the first hole! ![]() Kim |

| ![]() Oh I just love this thread. Where to begin. Here goes: a $158. floor cleaner cord, a coffee pot cord, a computer cord, three (3) plastic gates just enough to escape through, the T-11 siding on the back of the house, the lattace that we put up so that they can't slip through the rails on the deck, panties, bras they go through the laundry basket, the molding, the sheetrock, newspapers, napkins, toilet paper, grandbabies toys, oh the list goes on and on. they may be small but they sure are smart little ones. They all work together. I do not give them rubber or plastic toys because they eat them. You just got to love them..... |

| ![]() I keep reading here about electrical cords being chewed. I thought it could kill little dogs.

| ![]() Baxter was never destructive until he had his first birthday. I left him out while I was gone for a hour, and he decided that I needed to have a hole in the bottom portion of my arm of the sectional. Thankfully, it is a piece that is only facing on the front of the arm and I have pillows that can be used as fabric to repair my custom made sectional. What a doll, gotta love him....

| ![]() I forgot the blinds, vertical ones for patio that we custom made and 700 dollars, replaced them with wood sliding blinds, and yep chewed on those too. At least I can get new panels, they were only 130 from penneys, so i purchased another for emergency repairs. ![]()

| ![]() Susan chewed the cords of the electric blanket. It was summer so it wasn't plugged in. (Should have been in the closet, but I was feeling lazy.) Other than that, she hasn't bothered anything. Oh, and she chewed the sleeve of my raincoat when I left it and her in the car together when she was only a few months old. STUPID!! Both things happened before she was 6 mos old. Now she's a lady. |

| ![]() I just saw a friend's cell phone case that was chewed pretty good by their yorkie. He got the antenna a little. Didn't hurt the cell phone, though. Just a few tooth marks on the antenna. Got lucky! ![]()

| ![]() Ferdinand has turned into a real terror lately. He chewed through not one, but TWO of our lap top chargers so we were without for a few days until a new one came in the mail. My boyfriend was NOT happy about that, as he's just finishing up his Master's degree online - and has to participate daily. With a dead laptop it's hard to participate! Just the other day... while my boyfriend was out of town - Ferdi was sleeping in the bed with me. He wanted down at about 6am, and I figured there wasn't anything he could hurt on the ground, so I let him play. He ripped (to shreds) a corner piece of where the carpet meets the bathroom tile floor. ![]() He's also decided to start chewing the wood on the cabinets in the laundry room where he is baby gated during the day. I think that's it (so far) besides putting a bunch of puppy teeth marks in my shoes.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | ![]() Yep...we've lost a few things.....lots and lots of flip flops, several computer cords, and many pairs of dress shoes....and of course any little thing that falls on the floor is theirs and thus gets destroyed like pens, pencils, paper, mail, well the list goes on! We feel like most of it is our fault for leaving things out and we have actually trained ourselves to put things up out of reach!!
