To each his own, I would carry the ones in the first link before I would strap handles to my dog and carry him like the last link... that, I looks uncomfortable and The dog cannot enjoy his legs dangling around like that,,.
Maybe yours des but mine would be all kinds of pissed at me if I put him in one of those and carried him around like a purse.In fact It looks like it would do some harm to their backs if done like this repeatedly....

If it fits properly the dog is very comfortable in the purse. The dog can walk while in the purse too.
