| Teeth Extraction Little Diamond has to get 14 teeth taken out next Thursday I hope she is okay after this...what can they eat after they get their teeth pulled? I know she can't have any food after 8pm the night before and no water after 12 midnight the night before. I can't believe she has to get that many taken out She is 9 months so the vet doubts they will fall out on their own. My poor baby. Right now, she looks like she has shark teeth with 2 rows of teeth And how much does this run? Do they charge you per tooth? I have VPI so I am hoping they at least cover some of it!

| Awww, poor Diamond! I don't know anything about that... what about soft things such as baked yams, eggs, etc? Hopefully she does good with it and it doesn't cost you a fortune. Hey, you're almost in the 500 club!

| They can still eat most foods. Maybe add a little water to soften it a little the first day.

| I have VPI and they cover some of it. But you could call them to see how much they will cover.

| Both of our Yorkie ( Frdo & Arwen) had to have their baby teeth removed. And yes, it did look like a sharks mouth - with breath to match!!! I think we paid like $10.00 per tooth, so it was $100 to $140 each time. The biggest concern was the drugs since they had to be put under and they are so small ( around 3 lbs each ). They were still groggy when they got home from the vet so they didn't eat that night, but the next day they ate normal foods. They gottheir normal high quality wet food in the am (rice, barley, lamb, veggies, etc), and were eating dry food by the pm. Hope this helps. |

| I had my puppies teeth extracted when she was 6 months old cause the vet said they wouldn't fall out anymore. Also the vet told me she couldn't eat until hour later. She ate her normal food. How old is your furbaby? |

They were both close to a year old, 8-9 months maybe. The baby teeth were'nt falling out and left in the extra teeth cause gum problems and really bad breath. Frodo had 14 teeth removed and Arwen 9. Frodo is about 2 1/2 years old, and Arwen is 1 1/2 years. | |

| Is she spayed? Piccolo was neurered two weeks exactly today and they pulled 3 of his baby teeth ( $42 each ) but at least I don't have to put him under again. The roots were very long and it was sort of a surgery. They put some stiches, too. I was feeding him soft food for three days and soften dry food after. He's back on his regular dry food now. So I think if she isn't spayed yet, you can do it all together.
