I just read this thread. I can understand what you are going through, But The only way you will feel peace is if you go visit him and his new owner. I feel once that you see how much he is loved then and only then will you feel better about it all. My heart goes out to you.

you did the right thing so dont beat yout self up. my annie came from a lady who loved her to bits but could no longer keep her as she bit her son a few times, it broke her heart but it wasnt fair on annie to stay with her as she was then unhappy around the child and nervous around him. i love her to bits and shes my baby girl and i would never part with her so i can understand why the lady is saying no to you having him back. if he liked killing things he would not stop he is just that type of dog and remember he is just doing what comes normaly to a terrier. the lady who had annie emails me every month or so to see how shes doing and i send pics, she did say she would like to see her once every 6 months which is fine with me but as of yet she hasnt asked and its been 7 months this month but i think she might of changed her mind about it as she would have to say goodbye all over again and also would be upset when she sees how much annie loves me now, so think hard before you go see him could you say goodbye again? how would you feel if he wasnt that bothered to see you? how would you feel if he shows more love to her than he did you? im not saying this to upset you i just want you to think about everything b4 you go see him as you could end up more hurt than you are now.
