| Freeze Dried Pets I came across this site while looking for pet sympathy cards. Did you know they can actually freeze dry pets that have died? I don't think I could have a dead dog sitting here...I think it would make me feel so sad every time I saw it. I think it's rather weird! http://www.pet-animalpreservation.com/

| that entire website scares me especially the pictures.... when you freeze-dry (i'm thinking liquid nitrogen), does that mean your pet will shatter if you hit it with something?

| Having just lost my sweet dog just 5 weeks ago I can see the desire to hold on at all costs. But truthfully I would have such a hard time just seeing my dog lifeless. The life within our pets is what we love the most. Their smile, how they look at us and how they respond to our love. Without their ability to communicate and show love it would not be meaningful.

| I agree with what someone else said that I think it would be kinda depressing to see my pet there. Plus, I think it looks kinda.. gross/creepy.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I didn't click on the link you posted yet, but I did see this on t.v. about a month or so ago. I don't know if the link you posted it is the same guy that I saw on t.v., but yeah, it was pretty strange The cats didn't look SO BAD...because I have seen fake stuffed cats that looked soooo real (not that I'd want one anyway!)...but the dogs, no way. I couldn't have one of them in my house. It is just too weird and it would make me too sad. This one guy came in and had his dog stuffed (I think it was a Shih Tzu) and anyway, the dog had passed away so he brought it in to have it...err...well, stuffed. The thing that made it look so morbid was what the guy that stuffed them put him in. It looked like a glass coffin! Yuck. I couldn't have that sitting around in my house to look at all the time. No thank you

| Okay, don't think I am nutso, but I seriously looked into getting Mojo stuff (if and when, heaven forbid) that happens. I was told that they couldn't be "mounted" stuffed because of all the chemicals we give them (ie, medicines, flea/tick meds, shots, etc)...it causes their hair to fall out...so, who would want a hairless, stuff pet...that doesn't even look their fallen loved ones. I thought it would be kind of neat to have a stuffed Mojo to still pet and then to go into my coffin with me........I'm really not a freak!! I just don't like the idea of cremation (sp) and if you bury your pet, who is to say you will remain at that place. Anyway, I don't even want to think about it, but I don't know what I will do now when that time comes.....I guess it is smart to think of it though....kind of like a Will too.......if something happens to us, who will take care of our furbabies, etc. Oh, I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that they found a guy somewhere that had been "freeze-dried".......I don't watch the news much, but just caught a glimpse of it......I am sure that is not legal, but you never know with the weirdos in the world.........

| I saw a show that had people on that had done this! One lady dressed her's every day and took it for walks (in a stroller, of course). They were really eerie looking. |

| I didn't even look at the site......I am sure it is creep and sad at the same time. Death hits everyone differently too.....some people take it really hard and can't let go (probably be me when the time comes).......I guess if you think about it, you are just making it worse for yourselves by doing that......you shouldn't forget our fallen loved one, but you should move on and have your happy memories....I can see where looking at your stuff lost one all day could really make you sad.

| oh man If I had one of my furbabies stuffed i'd go baliztic(sp) everytime i'd walk by it i'd think she was alive and ready to follow me i'd get so depressed I don't even want to think about it! |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | If I were to get one of my babies stuffed or freeze-dried, whatever, I'd probably go crazy. Every time I walked past them I'd want to call them and have them follow me. One of the greatest things about time is that eventually, the pain of loosing a pet lessens, and you have way more happy memories. However, if I were to get a pet stuffed I feel it would be SO much harder to get through the grieving process by looking at them every day.

| We I don't think I would opt for this but I wouldn't see why other wouldn't. It actually looks like they do a great job based on the pictures provided on this website. Some of those almost still look alive. |
