I hope she won't be too small but she was the runt of the litter. Also the mommy dog was a blonde color and the daddy dog was reagular tan and blue on the back.... at what age will i be able to tell what color my lil'one will be ???? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali was 1 lb at 10 weeks and was the runt of the litter. at 15 months she is just under 5 lbs. So she caught up. They can change color for years. Congratulations on your baby.

| Fergie was 1lb. 10oz. at 9-10 weeks. She is almost a year old and weighs just about 4lbs. The chart said she should weigh 5 lbs. full grown...but she hasn't gained any weight since she has been 8 months old! I don't know how much more she will grow. I think some puppies might do alot of their growing early on, and others might have a growth spurt later in puppyhood. I don't think alot of people on here have felt that the chart is very accurate. But, everyone's puppy is different. As for the color...it changes so much for every puppy, I think it will be really hard to predict |

| hi The color will be almost impossible to predict. I have a pair of furbabies. Our boy just never changed color since he was 10 weeks old. He's black as midnight and more of a gold than tan. We kept waiting for him to change color but it never happened. He weighs almost 5 pounds now (3 years old) and looks just like a puppy! Our girl on the other hand, came from 1 black/gold and 1 blue/tan for parents, and she started changing to blue and gold after about 6 months, she has a beautiful coat, but she's over 1 year old now and her coat is still changing! In fact, she's going completely almost completely blond! We're shocked, and very excited to see her final coloring Even though it's not a customary coloring we think it's gorgeous. So I wouldn't worry, whatever color your puppy ends up, I'm sure it will be beautiful. |

| I think size is a hard one for anyone to predict. I have two and one was 1 lb @ 6weeks now at 8 months she is 9lbs 8 oz. but she really hasnt gotten bigger in 2 months, since she was spayed. just gained weight. she doesnt look like a big dog to me. the other is 3.3 lbs and 4 months old. But she didnt seem to hardly grow at all till this past couple of months. she gained almost a lb finally in about 3 weeks. But she might keep growing longer than the other one did and still be bigger than we think. So I really think its hard to predict size or color in these yorkies. They all seem to be different. some grow fast at first then just stop and others grow slow yet keep growing for a longer period of time seems like to me. their pictures are in my avatar. I still think their pretty even if the one is a tea pot or maybe even a tea barrel. LOL. I just know shes a smart dog and a keeper in my eyes.

| Not knowing anything about the parents or their background, I would guess 5 pounds tops. One thing that might affect this is if you already have her then she went home way too early so she is probably not her "ideal weight", but will catch up. You'll have a better idea about 3 or 4 months. I've seen color change all the way up to 3 years, but you should have some idea by 9 months. |

| Piper was 1.3 lbs at 14 weeks. She is now 7 months and weighs 6.3 lbs. So I think she is just a little piggy. The vet says she is not over weight. She turned out being larger than Misha our Maltese. |

| My baby was only 1 lb at 7 weeks, and she grew to 3.2 lbs, and up to 3.6 at her heaviest. So it is very hard to figure out how heavy they will be. She also turned to a very nice silver colour, or as some would say, blue. She was very beautiful.

| Sofia was 1lbs 2oz at 12 weeks and now at 11.5 months she is 2lbs 8oz. She hasn't changes weight in a couple of months, the vet says she may fill out a couple oz but that's all. You just never really know. |

| Missy was 1 lb 2ozs at 7 weeks of age. Her parents also had the same colours as what you have described, but I'm noticing that Missy's coat is still changing at 1 yr 7 months of age. Yorkies are all so unique, it's what I love about them.
