| how to stop pup from digging at your crotch area i can't stop my 4 mo old male from digging at my crotch or anyone else's crotch for that matter when I hold him on my lap. he digs, sniffs, licks and bites my jeans. "NO!" doesn't cut it "NO digging" doesn't do it, neither does time outs. it's gross! he does it to my boyfriend too!

| You could try what I did when my little guy would bite me when he was nibbling on my hand. I very firmly told him "no" (without yelling), and I put him down and ignored him for about 30 seconds. Then, I'd give him a toy that he can chew. Keep doing that and increase the time you ignore him. It worked great for me, and I only had to do it a couple times and he got the message. Good luck! |

| Dogs dislike the smell of citronella oil (available in health food stores) so maybe just applying a drop will work until it breaks the habit. I'm laughing now, because I'm picturing you at the front door with the citronella when guests come over - "You want me to do what, wear?????" |

| Mine did that when I first got them. I think they stopped soon after. I think they were just getting used to our smells and a 'baby thing' to do as well, I guess. Good luck! |
