| Sometimes I take a baby wipe and clean the lower tummy area in between baths. But a wet, soft cloth would work just as well.

| I have the groomer shave my two boys' bellies. It helps a lot.

My furkids Donating Member | Lillie wets on herself also..don't ask me how...her plumbing isn't even in the same place! I just stick her little butt under the faucet. I am thinking about trying the baby wipes but, as we all know, they clean themselves often. Would this harm them if they licked once you washed with the wipe?

| What they called a hygienic shave really keeps the smell down in between weekly baths with the males. |

| What about the females. Sissy gets smelly aroung there also. Her hair between her hind legs get wet with urine at times. I haven't had her groomed yet. But I have cut her hair around the areas that get smelly. |

| I shave both my boy and my girls belly up to their rib cage. It keeps it so much cleaner and smell free!

| I keep the hair trimmed there also. Then I had to trim the length on the sides of Cowboy because when he tilts to lift his leg to pee all the long hair went toward the pee and smelled. Apparantly he likes to pee higher than he should . |

| I want to know how you guys know it's the hair in that general area that smells. I have visions of all of you picking your dogs up and sniffing the different parts of there body to see which part smells like pee. Just kidding. I also shave my guys tummy and the hairs on the end of his weenie. Then give Roxi a Brazilian to help keep them nice and fresh. I also shave the hair around their little butt hole too, to keep them from getting dingle berries.

He is growing in now and you can't see it being bald down there unless you turn him over. This way there is no hair there to get wet! Hope this helps. | |
