| New here and bringing home puppy... This is the first post I've posted, though I've been reading and reading! Lots of good info. We are going today to pick out our puppy, although she won't be ready to go for a couple more weeks. Can anyone list some good have to have items to bring the puppy home? Kind of like a Yorkie starter kit? LOL! THanks in advance!! |

My furkids Donating Member | Welcome to YT and congrats on your new up and coming home furbaby! I am sure the breeder will send you home with a puppy pack. You will need things like: good food (no fillers or by-products) Crate x-pen (alot of YT'ers use these) toys nutrical karo syrup toys brush shampoo & conditioner (maybe not right away) chew toys (stay away from greenies and rawhide chews bad, bad, bad for your furbaby!) harness (may not need right now but, NO COLLARS) leash I know there's more...just can't think lol Others here will help you..there's many helpful people on this site.

| Aww congrats on getting your new baby....You should probobly buys a soft little bed.....they like to have a place to call their own to cuddle up in Maybe some pee pads if you plan on training him or her indoors, ummmm.....a carrier (bag) for when you go out in the car....you might want to pick up some of those baby wipes for puppies....those are great to have on hand. I dont know what kind of food they are going to have him on but if you decide to switch make sure that you do it gradually mixing it with his other food at first to avoid an upset belly. You will need some doggy bowls for food and water. Hmmm that is all that I can think of for now. Good luck and make sure you post pics of your new little one!

| Welcome to YT! I think they covered it. I would also get a ID tag. Just incase that little peanut slips out the door.
