| Chews Hi, I have a 4lb. yorkie. My husband and I was watching the CNN news on the Greenies.Which was the preferred chew of my dog.If you go on line you may put greenies in to bring it up.Dogs are dying from the gluten glue like substance in them.A 5mo. old Boxer died with it lodged in the lower part of his throat. It does not break down easily. After doing the search on dogsters or cnn/greenies stories, you'll have a better insight to the "chews" chioces. Good luck!!!Good health, Laci Bonet |

| Look for bully sticks or Texas toothpicks. Both are great and totally digestable. They can be a little pricey though but last the small dogs quite awhile. My Jack Russell sure can chew thru them quickly though. LOL Most pet stores have them or you can order them on-line. |

| No, don't give him rawhide. He can choke on that. That stuff is dangerous, too. Bully sticks are safe. Just watch him if it gets down to that last of them and take it away. Anything can be dangerous. I give bully sticks to Miss Kacee.

| Are you talking about the Petrodex Dental Chews? They are completely different from Greenies. My dogs all get a half of one each a day and it really helps keep their teeth clean and breath fresh. It is an enzymatic chew made from beef. I don't let them have them unless I'm home because I guess there is always a chance of choking but no problems with digestion.

| I got those IAMs Dental Sticks for my 2 Chi's and they swallowed a big chunk about 1 third of it in one gulp. The thing is even if your watching them they can swallow at any time without notice so its hard to stop them. That was the first and last time I gave those as treats. I don't trust that they'll digest properly. |

The bullys I've used were Merricks so maybe I'm just over sensitive to the smell. I love the Merricks Flossies though and I do give them those for very special treats. Gracie scarfs hers and then harasses the boys for theirs so they don't get them too often.
