| Unbelievable trip to pet store I had to share this experience. I took Herk to the pet store last night to have him fitted for a harness. It was a very busy day at the store because Sat. is Doo Da Day in Birmingham and everyone was in the store with their dogs buying things for the parade they have every year for the dogs and parents. Its unbelievable how big an event this has turned out for raising money for the humane society and Tears ( a rescue organization). Well I put Herk in the buggy and he was shaking like a leaf. When I found the vest that fit, I left it on him and put him down. He was having a good time until we turned a corner and the puppy classes were letting out. He thought he was 10' tall barking at the other dogs. They were all laughing at him. Well to make a long story short he starting going in circles like he was going to have an accident so I immediately put him back in the buggy and went to pay for everything. I thought this is fine now. NOOOOOOOO when I went to get my debit card out low and behold he had pooped in my purse. Yes I thought I would die. They were all laughing. I asked the cashier for a paper towel to get it out. She held him and then I asked her for a spray bottle that I saw. Cleaned my hands with windex. My husband said he would have killed the little sucker (laughing) Could not get mad at him. He got just got excited. Everyone got a good laugh out of this. The babies just always seem to amaze me. : I can say that was an experience. |

| I would have been mortified!! Poor little Herk! I guess it's hard to laugh but when you look back it will be funny! The things we do for these babies! BTW ... welcome to YT ... our home is in Anniston, but we will be in Colorado for a couple of years [Hubby's job]. Wish we could be home and our Toto could be there for Doo Da Day!! It's a great event! Are you familiar with the Foundation for Cats & Dogs or did you know Maggie Dix? She was a friend who did a lot of work but died a few years back.

Yes, Colorado is soooo different! It's so beautiful, in it's own unique way. Where we are there are many "Mesas" which is equivilent to our mountains at home but no trees. They are like giant rock mountains with only a few trees and they look like there should be indians with warpaint peeking from behind the rocks!! Up on the "High Mesa" the views are breathtaking ... you are so high up and can see for miles and miles. It's especially neat that it can be so warm and nice at our house and you can drive up on a Mesa and there is lots of snow! Our Toto absolutely loves the snow ... she jumps around in it like a little rabbit!! Hope you like it here on the YT site! Lots of nice people and it certainly has helped me to "maintain" during some especially hectic times!

| Oh my goodness, that sounds so funny!! The part that made it even funnier is that you thought that you had diverted the poop and then there it was in your purse!! A similar thing happened to me with Hercules, except I wasn't out in public at least!! He looked like he was going to poop, so I scooped him up and ran downstairs and outside (this was before we decided to implement the "balcony park" on our balcony). Well I was wearing a hoodie sweatshirt with one of those big pocket in the front. So I get him down and I'm standing there waiting for him to do his business. I go to put my hands in my pocket, and of course, there's his poop!! It's so funny the stories we have from these little guys and gals!
