| How old is your puppy? Mine had a short bout of eating his poop right when I got him, for a week or so. But he outgrew (?) it... Hopefully that's a case with yours too. Other than to clean it up as soon as possible, I don't have any other advice, maybe try search the forums?

| I was told that it is from bordom and then after soooo long of them doing it, it can become a habit and it will continue. You can purchase this stuff called STOP from Revival Animal Health and it should stop them...I got it for Tiny and he really did stop...It contains all natural stuff in it...I think the main thing is that it has seaweed and like kelp...And it don't taste bad going in the mouth but it does after it goes through the body and turns away thier attraction to eat it. |

| Stool eating behavior also known as Coprophagia refer to dogs that eat both his stool and other creatures’ stool. This is a completely natural thing for dogs to do but is extremely disgusting and frustrating for its owner. Coprophagia usually occurs in young and growing puppies. Most dogs will usually outgrow this behavior when you feed them a balance diet meal twice a day. If your dog likes to put stool into his mouth, try these tips: 1. Ask your vet for a food addictive that will make his stool distasteful. Mixed the addictive into his food. 2. Alternatively, you can add a few pieces of acidic food such as pineapple and courgette into his food to create the same effect. 3. You can buy off shelf products like bitter apple and spray it onto his stool. His stool will smell awful to him. 4. Alternatively, you can spray mixed vinegar-water solution to create the same effect. These methods seek to make his stool smelly or distasteful. This will discourage him from putting stools into his mouth over time. If all the above mention tips failed, consult your vet for further assistance. From...http://www.dogsobediencetraining.com...ool_eating.htm Hope this helps I used pineapple with Sammi and it helped Sophia doesnt eat her poop...She dabbled in it in the beginning but then stopped..PHEW!

| This is great. What I don't understand is the spray....if you spray it, you can clean it up. I want to use something to stop it because it happens so quckly before i get the tissue in hand to clean it! She's a great little eater! she can or shall i say will eat more than my first dog. I honestly think she will eat till she's sick! I'll ask the vet or use pinapple. |

| Gross, isn't it? My little one did that a few times after I scoled her for going in the house. I just figured she was trying to hide it. She hasn't done it since. |

| My yorkie did the same thing. The vet said it was because the dog food is such high quality now days, it tastes as good going in as it does coming out, so they eat it (again)!!! Talk about recycling!!!! I finally sprinkled Forbid on his food and in about a week he stopped eating his poop!! |

| Thanks so much for the pineapple idea... My baby eats her poop when she misses the pads and it is so so gross... Of course she comes running to kiss you the minute you catch her! I will try the pineapple! |
