| How tall is your Yorkie?? I have never measured my furkids but I was measuring my sons wrist for something tonight and thought..hmm..wonder how to measure the height of a dog?? Is it from the floor to the shoulder?? If so Darla is 8 inches tall and Reece is 5 inches tall...does that sound right?? How tall are your babies?? Id like to know height and weight as Darla is a big eater but always seems to thin for her height. Dawn |

| Thank you for answering my post..I am not sure I have seen a height post since I have been a member. When you hear someone say that their dog is 2 or 3 or 7 or 10 pounds...I always wonder...how tall is your dog? Darla is around 3.5 pounds so 8 inches makes her look tall and skinny...now if she were 3.5 pound and 6 inches...she would look chunky lol... Thanks again, Dawn |

| Oh geeze, Chloe is 6 pounds and some ounces (I forget the last weight) but she is 7 and a 1/4 high........... Sissy is 2 pounds and 11 ounces I think and she is 6 inches high. I read all of yours, does that mean mine are porkers?? or just short & stout?

| Oscar is 9" tall (and 9" long, nice little square) and weighs 3.5lbs - he's all legs! It's a great weight for him - he looks healthy and I don't feel like he would break when I play with him. Ruthie is a shorty (she's only 18weeks tho) - I haven't measured but she looks to be about 5 or 6" tall and she weighs 1.8lbs. I'm trying to fatten her up a wee bit - she's a little TOO lean for my liking. It's really difficult to judge a proper weight based on heigh though. Like I can already tell that Ruthie is going to be much shorter, but probably longer in body than Oscar is - but she could still end up being the same weight as him. You should be able to SLIGHTLY feel their ribs under their skin, if you can't feel them at all, then they are overweight. If you can REALLY feel their ribs, then they would be underweight.

| Are you sure you mean pounds? 3 1/2 pounds is very light for a fully grown dog. My girl is little and is 2.1kg-about 4lbs something. She is about 8 1/2 inches tall. She is very finely built.
