When ever Lillie is laying on my chest, she always wants to lick my eyes. Is this normal, does your yorkie do this? I dont wear make up, so I have no idea why she would want to lick my eye.

Haha, Coco does this all of the time

I think it's totally sweet actually. My dad, ever since I was little always used to kiss my eyes before going to sleep, and I think it's sweet that Cocomo licks my eyes when I'm laying down

zoe licks our eyes, nose, always wants to french kiss us and catches us with our mouth open. I'm so not into french kisses with a dog although I don't mind anything else.

I always wondered if they lick cause they are giving us attention and affection, or if they are licking us to make us clean. I thought maybe there is something in my eye that is dirty lol But glad to know it's just not me lol

Daisy likes to clean everyones Eyes if they want it or not. Kodi Amy the golden retriver And the cat. The cat cleans her too though LOL

When I saw the subject of your post, I wondered "how can a dog lick it's own eyes?" duhhhhhhh me lol

Mine hasn't licked my eyes yet, but he likes to lick my nose, ears and cheeks. He also licks my arm or hand until he falls asleep on me at night.

I think it's a sign of affection for one and two maybe the salt from tears/tear ducts or something.

Mine are eye, nose and ear lickers too. I think it has something to do with the taste because when I rub THEIR ears or eyes they always want to lick my fingers afterwards.

all of our furbabies do that, we all get night time baths, eyes get the most attention

Lady does it all the time, sometimes I can't even get her to stop...But the worst is that my cat Jager does this to me also, when he wants to wake me up....you can only imagine what its like to wake up from a dead sleep to sandpaper kisses.....
