| Well, I don't know about pizza crusts, buuuuut, anytime I try to give Trixie a bone, she 'buries' it. Either under clothes on the floor, or most commonly under the pillows on my bed. I got tired of finding milkbones in my bed at night and she NEVER eats them. |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Hiding and Hoarding! Well if I EVER give Stedman people food (which is very, very rare! Unless he steals of course) HECK NO, he gobbles it down like nobodys business, LOL. However, he will go crazy trying to find just the right place to hide his Bully Stick. He hides it in corners of the house, behind tables and chairs, he stuffs in down in his couch and even hides it in mommy and daddys couch He will whine and whimer and cry the entire time he is trying to find the perfect place to hide it, and he gets so upset if he can't find the perfect spot. Little turd!

| My chi always tries to hide some food since she had been starved before we got her but with 2 other dogs around she always has to gobble it up so they don't get it. Mine never hide treats. They always just chow them up immediately. I wish they ate their dog food that well. |

| Oh yes, my poodle does the same. She is so bad because she picks up the treat and runs under the computer desk and hides it there. She is back in a flash for more. She then goes back and eats them slowly! haha!!

| I had a poodle mix that did the same thing - and with the same foods - pizza crusts, pieces of toasted or hard bread, etc. She would hide and save these "forever." I think somehow she knew that these would keep well - plus, for some reason, they never seemed to be anything she wanted to "eat right now." I never thought of this as "gross." I'd find a piece of hidden dry bread once in a while - and it was just a piece of dry bread...... nothing bad! And - she did this all her life... So - for some dogs - this is very normal. | I just love hearing about this! We wondered about our Mia - because when we first got her she seemed to hide everything! We had such a hard time getting her to eat anything! We got her from a "pet store" and she only weighed 1 lb 11 oz so we kinda thought it might have something to do with that. But then we thought it was because she was a female (never had one before). My hubby's friend at work has a male, and he said his didn't hide or bury food, but that he did throw it around playing with it a dinner time!!! Mia hid all kinds of things... scrambled egg, pieces of chicken, t-bone etc. Some were in our bed, some in the laundry room, some just in the corner where she "thought" we couldn't see it! She used to spend alot time digging in our bed too. They are sooo funny!
