| More pleasant walks Chachi and Jewels always bark at people and dogs when we go anywhere with them so we just quit taking them places. We probably havent taken them anywhere for about 8 months because they would embarass us with their barking. Yesterday we took them to an event where there were people and dogs and they were both super good. They didnt bark once and we even took them off their leashes and they stayed right with us never wandering off. I took them on a walk today and they were good no barking again. I am so pleased with the change and so proud of them. now i can look forward too taking them places again

| That is so great!! Cooper is a barker too and it is annoying! Do you think it is just a maturity thing that they quit with the barking? I have tried slapping a paper really hard here at home (like I read on another thread) and it is working...but I can't really go around doing that in public places Congrats though, hope mine will learn to be quiet too, (one day)!!

| I hope it is a maturity thing! Mayzie is 9 months old and she barks and growls at anything that moves. Mo is 3 and he is really good/quiet. I would love to take them both more places with me. I haven't taken Mayzie into a petsmart yet because I am not sure what she will do. I have been trying to take her for short rides with me recently as often as I can to hopefully get her use to "life" happening around her. How old are Chachi and Jewels now?

| Isn't that pleasant? I imagine you couldn't even talk to people before because of the barking. I used to have one that yapped like that. Perhaps yours have outgrown it? I hope so anyway....

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My Pom is a terrible barker. She's 9 1/2 and just recently sroped barking at anything that moves outside. She still barks a lot on out walks even when she is in the stroller. I wish I could get her to stop.

| Great news! Venus is just 3 months old, and is a growler and a barker so far. I've yet to walk her, cause I can't find a harness that small yet. Only time Adonis (5 years old) barks is when someone is walking down the street, and he isn't, lol. But he loves everyone he meets, and never barks when I walk him. |

| Hurray - you've given me hope! I just decided last night to quit walking him for a while after he went nuts again. I have been getting him out for daily walks, but it's just not working, so keep torturing ourselves?? |
