| My opinion is that for that price you can buy 3 yorkies (maybe not)..........the prices are quite high! I would keep searching. Good luck

| THanks to everyone who posted in response to my thread. I appreciate your advice and comments, but I have to tell ya, I have become really obsessed with getting just the right pup and I want a certain look,I guess I want SHow quality but I don't want to show. The dogs I have seen around here in my community are cute but seem large for age. I am not going to pay 8,000 for a dog, I was thinking about the 4,000 tho. I have a vet who specializes and he assured me he could take my daughters dog (3lb) to a successful pregnancy, granted a planned csection, but we love her way toooo much to take the chance something would happen to her and had her spayed before her first heat. Her mother delivered two litters (she is 4 lbs or so), both healthy pups, only one in the first and two in the second. Good point tho whoever said could i STAY up all night feeding etc, if there were problems. I just want what I want and I can't find a cute little dog around here for any price. I was lucky to find daughters, happened by accident, and her mother is not being bred again. I want a yorkie so bad! whenever i get my girl, will post her pic and story! ps. Kim has been mentioned here before but it was all positive, she has a good rep. she imports some dogs from hungary and they are georgous, big full foreheads and great faces, they look like the ones at Westminister KEnnel Club to me. The only drawback is they have long tails and dewclaws. |

| okay I understand what your saying but think of this, I got Lexie & Bear both for what you are going to pay for one...They both come from great pedigrees and could be shown if I really wanted too. They might not ever win but I could put them in the ring...You have to do whats best for you but I serious thank thats too much money for a yorkie...

| There is some negative things about her on this forum. Put in a search for Kim Brock and read the threads. There are YT members that have purchased from her. Another note, on the 17 week pups I think they will be a lot closer (or more) to 4 pounds, not 3. The six month old is a much surer bet if you really want one that tiny, but the price is ridiculous in my opinion. Even if you have that kind of money, buy a baby for less and donate the rest of the money to your local Humane Society or rescue group. |

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ight=kim+brock Also, from what you are saying I think you would be very unhappy with an undocked tail. I have one (and wouldn't trade her for anything) and they look a lot longer in body and not the "perfect" Yorkie you seem to be looking for.

I'm not so sure about them being "the best looking dogs on the internet" LOOK at all the yorkie's on YT, they look as good or better and I doubt anyone paid 4 to 8000. I know I paid too much at 1900 and I know I was taken for a ride. I also know I like the name Sissy as you mentioned (ha ha one of mine) and My Sissy also has a tail & declaws which I didn;t realize when I bought her!!!! AND I didn't know why but maybe it is a foreign thing as you mentioned. She was timid once home, afraid of being loved and very much gave me the feeling she had to fend for herself at her breeders, meanwhile Chloe (my first) was afraid of nothing, very gentle, slow eating (not acting starving) and willing to share more then she should and she came from a private breeders home. I could tell between the 2, which one was handled more, gave more personal love & didn't get fed in a pack (and perhaps lost out of had to fight for her share of food) I met other Yorkies which were 500. They didn't seem different, I think the more important question should be: Where she was born, with whom and how timid and why???? I chose mine by personality, I wanted playful, snuggley and not tim,id all in one baby. I found while looking, most are loving and snuggley but not playful, some were so scared and others were snuggley but did not want to be put down. Keep searching until the right personality for you comes along and whatever you do, be more observant then I was

| Why do they have to be perfect? Can't you love the imperfections as well? I always say that they don't ask us to be perfect, so why should we expect them to be perfect? Oh, well, I suppose that is part of the reason so many are given up...they've become more bobbles than pets

| Please don't buy for her. Her yorkies looks bad...pet quality and this is just ridicules prices. When you pay 4000$ you can get the best yorkie. But what i see in her site, should cost no more than 500... |

| Too Much!! What exactly is so special about these particular yorkies that you would even think of spending that much money for one of them??? I looked at them and they are cute but in no way worth so much more then dozens of others I have seen. There are so many beautiful and tiny yorkies available for so much less. This is not necessarily a case of you get what you pay for! Unless what you are looking for is bragging rights for spending so much money for a puppy. Think of how many puppies you could give a home to for that much money! Look at any web site with yorkies for sale and there are pages and pages of them. The law of supply and demand normally brings prices down. I have even seen a lot of breeders with end of summer sales or special labor day sales or whatever in attempt to get buyers. Also most of the prices are negotiable. I dont claim to know all there is to know about how to determine quality in a yorkie puppy but I still dont think there is any reason to encourage these outrageous prices. Even if you want a show quality puppy that is on the small end of the scale conformation-wise, it shouldnt cost over $1500 - $2000 with breeding rights max!! JMHO |

I don't think all her estimates on weight are totally HONEST. I mean, they are going to grow more than 8 oz if they're still babies!! I think some of them are even younger than she says they are so she can state smaller weights, but that's just intutuion. I know nothing of her or her business. She could be perfectly legit. Good luck and I hope you make the right decision for you.

| There are quite a few really good breeders here on yorkietalk. What I do is look at the postings of people and find the cutest yorkies...then read their threads and see where they bought their puppy Now granted, I'm not looking for another yorkie but I'm keeping a list in case I win the lottery.

| THanks again to everyone who has voiced an opinion for me. I just want a baby girl to be proud of, not perfect, but I can't find one in my area thus far so I scour the internet looking for dogs, it is very frustrating! I know that her dogs are very expensive and I would be crazy to pay that but I have given it a little thought because I want a furbaby. I have been patiently looking since December. I appreciate your opinions, especially the YT gal who mentioned that she bought two dogs, one which was socialized and one who was not. I do not want a kennel pup mentality dog and you never know from whence they came unless you gothere and check things out. I live in a small town in BAma and there aren't that many breeders around here. ANd yes, I think there are alot of great pups on this website, I visit here almost every day, I just don't post. Best regards to each of you! YORKIES FOREVER!! wHEN I decide and get my girl I will post her pic proudly! |

| Hmmmmm Im not sure how I want to respond to this post....I really want to say that no matter what you pay for a dog it WILL be perfect in your eyes!! Just like our children, we cant pick our children but we love them more than anything and would lay down our lives for them. My Darla is a Borkie...she cost me $450...well worth every penny and to me utter beauty!! Reece is a yorkie...he cost me $550...he might not meet the "standard" but omg I am in total love with this boy. Both my babies have tails..I dont look at this as an imperfection..to me it adds to their charachter!! When you see that cute little tail curl onto their backs you will wonder whoever thought of docking these beautiful tails to begin with?? Yorkie puppies change their appearance and you can never "really" know exactly what they will look like a year from now. I have seen soooooooooooo many before (puppy) and after (adult dogs) pictures on here and EACH one looks different than the other. I dont believe you will ever get exactly what you percieve from pictures but you WILL love that dog forever no matter what imperfections. Now $4000 is REDICULOUS to me. I agree with what someone else posted earlier...find a reasonable priced pup and donate the rest to your local shelter. I just hate to see someone pay that much when you can get JUST as good of a pup (maybe ever better) for much much less. Good luck on your search for your forever friend...because that is what it will be to you. No matter what imperfections WE have...a dog doesnt care what we look like..they love us for being US!!
