YT Addict | ![]() Does he ever hate his baths!!!! He just got a bath an hour ago and he shakes and trembles. I hate it, the way he acts breaks my heart. I sometimes blow dry him and sometimes I don't. Then I wrap him in a warm towel and we cuddle on the couch or in bed till he is dry. During that time I bundle him under fleece blankets and he lays next to me. I think that works becuase it traps my body heat to warm him...I don't like doing it, but hafta....he has bad allergies and bathing frequently helps a tiny bit ![]()

| ![]() I also bathe my yorkie, Oscar, in the kitchen sink. He shakes alot, but I heap on praise and give him a couple treats during the bath, and that seems to help ![]() |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ![]() When I first got Chanel I let her play in the bath - I showed her how to splash her feet - let her have a drink from the sprayer and had little float toys in the bath - I think she's just a water baby cause she LOVES her baths - in turn - her sister Cheri is getting to tolerate hers cause she sees Chanel in the water having fun....I think most yorkies are just not water lovers - the noise or getting their faces wet is something they don't like - but you can just keep trying and see if in time they learn to like the warm water more....Good Luck !! This is my 2 in the bath when Cheri was a baby - (Cheri is the one looking totally miserable but she's a little better in it at 11 months) Cheri is crying.... Chanel is singing ! |

| ![]() There has never been a dog on this earth who hates water so much as my Maggie. ![]() ![]() Tonight...or perhaps tomorrow night, I have the rare treat of bathing not only Maggie, but also Molly for the first time. (Molly was bathed last week by her groomer, but this will be the first time that I'm trying it). One thing I will say is that Maggie LOVES and ADORES the hair dryer bit. ![]() |

| ![]() Red98vet that is the funniest picture!! I'm glad to hear it's not just me that has a hard time with bathing. Pita did a little better after her last one, I kept her wrapped in the towel and only took her out a little at a time to brush her. I think she hates how cold she gets after the bath. Oh well, thanks for sharing all the bathtime stories!! |

| ![]() You can't take a bath for Ruby Doo, she gets in the shower if you are in there with you If you get a tub bath she willl stand that and dance on her back feet cause she is too little to get into the tub her self so she awaits until you get out then she licks your feet to death....lol ....hate that so....... Then after I get out she rubbs her nose and scoootes on the floor and then off.... she goes like a wild woman......lol ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() My Benji hates baths too. No matter what I do.! I can barely towel dry, then he runs crazy through the house til he is dry! Angel Muffin was like that too. Question is: How often do you bath your yorkie? We go to the groomers every 8 weeks and I give only one bath in between because he hates it so much. Of course I spot clean him with a cloth of shampoo suds when necessary. What do you do? Thanks. ![]() |

| ![]() Gracie isn't to bad in the bath...but she does do better in the tub than in the sink. I actually found the best way to bathe her....but don't make fun...she normally sleeps on my bathroom floor when I take a shower and the other day i decided to fill the tub up after my shower and put her in there...so i was in the tub with her and she was SO much more relaxed!! It was easier too..cause i didn't get soaked bathing her!!!! It is after the bath that it is rough...she shakes for SO long...she hates the blowdryer...so normally i wrap her up in a fleece towel and snuggle her...here is a picture of her buddy dozer keeping her warm after a bath!!! ![]()

| ![]() Buddy does not care for baths, but knows when he needs one. Jake loves to be bathed. Both will go jump in the tub when they are ready to be bathed. |

| ![]() The only thing that Biddy hates more than her bath is when Tucker has his bath. She jumps and cries and barks like crazy!! I think she thinks I'm hurting him!! She's so protective of her little brother (except from herself)!!
