| Question for all of you Yorkie Owners Out there. I recently went on vacation and I left my Teddy with my boyfriend. I was gone for about 10 days. I called just about everyday, and checked on Teddy like a good mommy would do. Well, on a particular Friday, I called, and called his cell phone, and he didn't answer. I was kinda of worried, but I figured that he had just fallen asleep, and couldn't hear the phone ring. I called him when I woke up Saturday morning and finally got a hold of him. He had gone out to an office get-to-together after work and drank a little too much and didn't make it home. I asked him then if had stopped at home prior to going to the party, and he said no. I wasn't but really ! I couldn't believe that he had been so irresponsible to leave Teddy at home in an Apt for over 24hrs! Yet he couldn't see why I was that upset! Needless to say, I told him that I would never leave Teddy with him again. Of course he apologized, but my Question to everyone is: Did I overreact? Or was I just in being soo upset? |

| No, you didn't overreact. I would have "overreacted" and evicted him from the premises and my life.

| Oh, I would be FURIOUS. Doesn't he know how much your furbaby means to you?? I would be so insulted that my bf couldn't control his alcohol intake one night for the sake of my dog. How long have the two of you been together? If he were my bf he'd probably be getting walking papers.

| I shouldn't even reply, but here goes... Yes, you have every right to be upset, leaving your baby that long alone. He's probably upset because you went on vacation with out him. Why else would he go out & not come home. I'd be just as upset he didn't answer the phone. What if you had an emergency, & really needed to get a hold of him. I went out of town years ago, came home & found out EX HUBBY had an affair. That's why he didn't answer his phone or come home. I started checking his phone, & there was a seductive message from his mistress. I'm not saying he's guilty of this, but he is guilty of neglect. You were only gone for 10 days, you mean to tell me, he couldn't refrain from going out for a week. That would be an EX boyfriend if it were mine. |
