| My porker.... I just recently took Bear to the vet for his second round of shots and weighed him. When I first got him he was 2.6 pounds. Now three weeks later he is a full pound heavier. Is this normal? I can't schedule his feedings cause my boyfriend and I leave early for work and don't get home till eight hours later and I hate the idea of him not having food all day.... But I don't want him to gain too much weight too quickly. He's get's about a cup of Royal Canin Puppy 33 to last the day and he usually doesn't finish it. but man.... I am so surprised at how much he's gaining. Tigger's even gaining weight because he sneaks in tidbits of Bears food. He's gained four oz. At ten and a half weeks he weighs 3.6 lbs.... any guesses on how big he'll be full grown?

| I think the full weight rule is 10 weeks and double it. This is probably normal. Stump gained all his weight so quick. When he was like 4 months old he was at 6 pounds. But hes a year and now weighs 7-8 depending on the day lol. So I think this is normal, he is just a growing boy. |

| You triple the weight at 8 weeks and double the weight at 12 weeks. I think he will be 8 or 9 lbs

| Murphy weighed 10.1 pounds last Monday when I took him in to be neutered. He's really doesn't seem that big at all because he isn't tall. He's sort of a rolly polly puppy-like little guy.....but still not fat - solid as a rock! Carol Jean |

| Bruiser is 15 weeks and he weighs 4lbs. I thought that was a big weight gain but like you i also work and i leave him food to eat, and he eats it all. Maybe i should cut down on his food just a bit. |

| I have been feeding Gus Royal Canin Mini Puppy 33 (that is what the breeder was feeding him also) since I got him at 8 weeks. I started out feeding him 1/4 cup daily (part in the am, part at lunch, and part in the pm). He is now 4 1/2 mos. old and weighs probably about 3 or 3 1/2 lbs. I have fed him the same amount since he was 8 weeks old! I just follow the rations chart on the bag and it says to feed him between 1/4 and 1/2 cup per day for his weight and age. I only feed him a heaping 1/4 cup now because he somehow always convinces us to give him too many treats everyday! So he actually eats a little more... |

| Louie was 2lbs at 18 wks and is now 6lbs on a chubby day and he will be 2 in October...Bella weighed 1.6lbs at 13 wks and is now around 5lbs on a good day at 1 yr old, so I guess you never know.
