| Need help with a puppy sweater. OK,i am getting my first yorkie at the end of Novemebr early December and i live in Michigan. So its gonna be cold.I was thinking of picking up a couple of cheep sweaters so my baby isent so cold. What sizes should i get for a puppy that will only be around 10 weeks?I was thinking the smallest size, but thought i would ask here befor i got them because im sure someone here has got a puppy a sweater. Also one more question. The mom to my puppy weighed about 6 pounds befor pregnancy and the father weighs 6 pounds also. Are the chances of my puppys weighing the same as the parents pretty good,or how does that work?Ok,1 more. How long does it take befor there coats start growing long?Thanks!!.....Amy |

| umm it really depends on how much your pup weight when you get her not by its age. I would take your pup with you to petco or petsmart and try some on him/her. My bunny would in a xs at 10 week but now is in to small. My bella was a XXS and now is a XS... oh and the hair growing long thing really depends on your yorkie. My bella had longish hair scent 6 weeks, some still dont have long hair at 5 months. So it depends on your yorkie. There is a weight chart here http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16045... might want to check it out Good luck getting your furbaby! cant wait to see pix |

| There are really cute small sweaters on ebay. If the Mom and Dad are 6 lbs chances are very high that your pup will be 6 lbs too

| puppies grow so fast. what i did for mine was to cut sleeves from an old sweatshirt. just cut the sleeve to the right length (length of the back from the neck to the tail) and cut slits for leg holes. it worked great. it kept them warm and when they grew out of them I just threw them away. very cheap and effective. you can get decorative with them if you want. hope this helps.

| If it's very small, you can steal the teddy bear's sweaters. Or you can go to HobbyLobby or other such places and get little teddy bear sweaters cheap. They won't fit in them long, though, but this is an option.
