| ![]() I got little Ruthie for this very reason - Oscar needed a playmate - and the first day I brought her home only solidified my theory - he must have been soooo bored before she came along! They are inseperable these two - and they are SO fun to watch together. I say get her a playmate! ![]()

| ![]() My 5-year-old Bichon and 1-year-old Yorkie play a lot. And -- like everyone says, it such fun to watch them play. And, it's so good for them....keeps them healthy, active, and helps keep their weight down. Carol Jean |

| ![]() All I can tell you is this. lots of times during the day I could see that Kizzy was bored or sad. I would be busy and she would just go lay down and sometimes hang her little head off the side and look so sad I felt sorry for her and told hubby she needed a little sister, thats when I decided we would get one. Notice, I said "I decided" , its true, hubby didnt want another, but I got one and he loves her as much as he does kizzy, matter of fact n the evening when he come in the door their at his feet so happy and he is just talking to them. he calls maggie lil buttercup most of the time. Kizzy and maggie play so good together. But sometimes one wont play when the other wants to but usually they play together and if one dont want to, they'll both go to sleep or one will just play a while with the toys and they are happy together and I know Kizzy seems happier. So i say if yu want one and can afford another , go for it. I am happier also. I love having two more than I did one.

| ![]() Yorkies are always better in groups IMO. I just recommend against littermates. You want them to bond with you first and littermates tend to bond with each other first then you.

| ![]() Shih tzu's are great! I had one as my family pet when I was growng up and she was wonderful. You are going to love having her! She was also MUCH easier to house train than my yorkie. Congrats on the new addition to your family! ![]() |
