I just read the thread. I am sooo sorry to hear about sammi!! I thoghts are with you and sammi!! I hope you hear good news! I live in Queens and not too far away. I will do anything to help as well. Jen has my number. We all need to be there for each other at a time like this. Don't hesitate to ask for help.

No, her prognosis is very poor...The vet does not think Sammi will recover from this...

Praying Sammi has a peaceful night and that she isn't in pain. Fran - please try to get some sleep yourself - these last few days have been hell for you I know .....we'll be hoping Sammi surprises us in the morning. Is there going to be someone with her ?

She is currently at Garden State Veterinary Specialist Hospital in their ICU unit...

There are Dr's, Vet techs, interns there all night...So she will be watched over...

I just don't know what to say...I am so shocked this could happen to a little yorkie that's only around 2 years old? Isn't that close to her age? My heart just aches for you and Sammi. I will keep praying for both of you and hope for a miracle! Bless your heart...I'm so sorry you are having to go through this with sweet little Sammi. I just feel so bad.

Fran...it's a new morning and I'm hoping Sammi did a turn-around....how is she today ? Bless your heart - I know you must be hurting so much...We never know the reasons why bad things happen like this...but we have to have faith there IS a reason.....not that it makes it any easier.

She is just getting worse...And I know I am prolonging the enevetable

I didnt sleep last night...My stomach is in knots...I wish I would do something for her but its not in my hands anymore...My heart is breaking more each day while she gets worse...

Fran, I'm so sorry to hear about Sammi's and your struggles. Even though we don't always know the reasons why things are happening, we have to have faith that things turn out the way they are meant to. Celebrate all of the happiness that Sammi has had in her life, keep praying that she is comfortable and not in too much pain, and know that you are never alone. I think anyone on this forum cares very deeply about their babies and would do whatever they can to help you in any way you need. Don't be afraid to ask for help from the people who are offering it. You need them and they need you.
