What's Stopping you???? Quote:
If you are changing your mind because you don't know what the health risks are, that can happen with a pure breed - I know, I had a West Highland Terrier before and my sister had a Scottish Terrier. Please don't stop from getting what YOU want. |
1 Attachment(s) We have a yorkipoo and she is the cutest thing I ever saw. I got a picture emailed to me of her as a baby and I was hooked. This is a picture of her on her first birthday. |

she is WAY cute. she looks a lot like a yorkie!! |
I have a yorkiepoo, Trixie, she is my little girl. I love her to death and woulden't trade her for the world. While I don't approve of all "designer dogs" (I can't stand puggles) but I do like morkies, yorkiepoos and I think chorkies sound really cute too. I am allergic to dogs and I believe yorkiepoos have alot to offer. I am not allergic to my yorkiepoo like I am with my yorkie, cocker, or maltese, so it is true. I have only seen a couple of chorkies but from what I have seen, they are really cute and I woulden't mind having one someday!!! I think it will be very intresting to see how her pups turn out if she is indeed pregnaunt. A question for those who have morkies (maltese and yorkie cross), do they dock the tails of morkies?? Yorkies call for the tails to be docked and maltese are suppose to have long natural tails. So if you cross the two, do you dock the tails or not??? |

Look how adorable they are!!! I could never breed...I would end up keeping all of them! |
My Yorkillon 3 Attachment(s) Hi there! I have a yorkie/papillon Snickers that I got from a rescue 1 week ago. I'd been searching for a yorkie for months - and this guy came up on petfinder as a yorkie. He clearly wasn't a purebred - but I fell for him. I found out the next day he was a yorkie/papillon - and applied to get him. The first 2 pictures I'm posting are his adoption pics - taken a month ago I think. Then there's a pic of him today - he has a mane - it's just beautiful. We've had a rough week with housebreaking but he is a huge sweetheart. He's 7 lbs of fun. |
1 Attachment(s) Does anyone know if you have a mix, like I do a Morkie. Are you supposed to get their tail docked? |

i dont know, sorry. sophie came to me with her tail docked. |
I have a yorkie pom named Beau. He is beautiful with the nicest coat I have ever seen. I also have a yorkie poodle named Bisous who is very tiny, has gorgeous markings and a slightly curly coat. She is a lovely little girl but my little boy is definitely the looker! |

My two rescue pups did not have their tails docked and I love how they are. I don't think Morkie's are docked. |

Yorkie Papillon I'd love to see pics of Taffy - and others! |
Little Girl. . . Tammy - Little Girl is so pretty. Did you have her as a puppy? How long before her full coat came in? Oh and I want to see a pic of the looker Beau too!!! |
first off love the papillion yorkie mix! too cute!! yes i have had little girl since she was 8 weeks old, when we got her on xmas eve she looked like a ball of fuzz floating around, about 1lb. more like a pom as she was around 4/6months she had the yorkie look (i think thats the time frame) i just remeber that she was one day afluffy puppy and the next a long hair silkie baby. i also had her nephew magnum who was 75% yorkie and 25% pomeranian. he was a red color, fluffy pom looking baby at 1lb but magnum never gained any weight, his hair was on the verge of changing into yorkie hair when he passed away at a young 6 months. i love the mixes just as much as the purebreds, i have a hard time deciding what i want next. |
Thanks Thanks Tammy! I looked at little Magnum's pic - what a cute fluffball he was. I'm glad Sophie's mom started this thread. I was feeling guilty about not having gotten a purebred. . . |

i wanna see pics !!!lol im picture happy |
all your puppies are really really cute!!! i love the yorkie/pap mix. I personally wouldn't pay to get a 'designer dog'. my main problem with them is that they are ecentually mutts and people are getting ripped off whne buying a 'mutt'. however, if you've researched what you wanted and have looked in shelters and rescues first for a while and couldn't find one then i say go for it if you want to spend the money. It just bothers me when people don't even try looking at rescues and shelters first because a lot of the time that mix your looking for can be found there for around $100. |

P.S. This is the 1st time ever this site has offended me. |

here's a small test about shelter dogs vs designer dogs. can you figure out which is which? http://www.grumpybumpers.com/dogs/ |
Piper'smommy, I completely understand where you are coming from. I am allergic to most dogs, the yorkiepoos and morkies I am not allergic to. By the way, your baby is gorgeous, looks like a parti yorkie with the coloring!!!! I see absolutely no problem with yorkiepoos and morkies, they have alot to offer!! And when you get them off of a breeder you know their current and past history of the pups and even the parents. While I am all for shelter dogs and rescuing one, there are some things that you don't have with a shelter dog. Such as you don't know the history or whether it carries a genetic disease or you don't know the dog's temperment and disposition. Like I said, I have no problem with shelter dogs, I own one, but for someone to say that we should not buy a yorkiepoo or morkie off of a breeder and go to the shelter instead, I disagree and feel it is wrong to say that. I would rather know that my puppy is healthy and has a great disposition and the whole backround of the puppy. |

i dont think your reading my opinion for what its worth. it upsets you that i say mutt instead of mix so since offense was taken to that word, the rest of the post is lost. I did not say that the dog itself is the 'bad guy' here. i said i don't agree with the specific breeding of them. and i didn't say that you should go directly to a shelter and get one of them instead of getting one from a breeder. IMO, and that's what it is, an opinion which everyone is entitled to, i would spend some time searching the shelters first before going to a breeder if you have your heart set on two certain breeds being mixed. again i don't find what i posted offensive and yes i did read the reminder post. if i found it offensive i wouldn't post it. i like all the pictures of the puppies you posted and i have nothing against them so stop thinking that i do. |
