| puppy shampoo Hi, I've been using Top Paw puppy shampoo from Petsmart on Hailey and until now never had any problems with it.These past 2 times i bathed her though ,I've noticed that she has white flakes(like dandruff) behind her ears. I would like to switch to a different shampoo but don't know which one to get. What do you recommend?Where do you get it from?Thank you |

| I'v heard to use different shampoo's that using just one will cause soap build up and that causes them to get dandruff and itch. Just use different top quality shampoos and even throw some human shampoos in there, just don't use the same over and over again. Switch whenever you run out of one shampoo.

| I use Gold Medal Pets Puppy Shampoo (all over including face) and then I used Fresh N Cleans Oatmeal and Baking soda conditoner. The conditioner smells great!! I too had this problem with Tigger. I stopped bathing him as much(now it's once every two weeks, he's an indoor dog) and I've watched how much sugar is in his treats. Too much sugar can dry his skin and coat out. (this is what a vet nurse told me). Hope this helps. and you can find both of those at Petsmart.

| Shampoo/Conditioner I use the Pet Silk shampoo/conditioner on her body & a tearless shampoo for her head & face. I hear that Chris Christensen is very good & plan to try that next. Good luck! |

| The dandruff might have something to do with the food you are feeding her. Does the food have corn in it? I used to feed Purina Pro Plan which has corn in it and Hobbs used to have dandruff. Then I switched to Chicken Soup and the dandruff went away. |

| My vet suggested using a very mild shampoo and diluting it very well before using it.

| I was using Fresh and Clean originally and Phoebe had very dry skin/hair. Now I use Pet Silk and I can see a differnce in her coat. I'll use that until it's gone and then maybe switch to somehting else. But so far I like Pet Silk.
