hes the same colour scampi was and the same colour as annie, i like thet colour best. we seem to have a lot more yorkies that colour in the uk than the breed standard colour so have never had anyone ask what he was,the only thing people asked about scampi was what i washed him in cos he had such a shiney glossy coat, they seemed shocked when i said my shampoo not dog shampoo lol

Here is Tinkerbell as a baby when I first got her she was black and tan, but look at her now she has some blonde with some black and silver on her back, She has a very pretty colour almost seems like she has highlights her legs were a little reddish but are blonde now

ok here is kizzy at 6 weeks and 4 months then at 6 months. you can see the change of colors better than I can describe them. Then kacee is almost 10 weeks and here she is the day I got her 8 weeks not much chance of change yet with her. She hasnt gained but 2 ounces since I got her so she still about the same.

Mojo is still pretty much black and tan....although, it seems his back is getting lighter. I had one lady ask what he was because she hadn't seen a yorkie his color.....I have no clue what she was talking about though!?! I honestly think his hair changes (depending on what products I use on it, etc) - I don't know if that can really happen or not, but it seems like it.

- Black & tan with a little white on head

- Lighter colors coming out more around face and legs

- Still some really light on head

- body seems to be getting lighter

i dont think what you use would make any changes happen. maybe the woman ment cos his hair is lighter then breed standard, in the uk most yorkies ive seen are his colour.

I would like to know if there are all black yorkies? ( maybe with a bit of white on the chest area) The lady I am purchasing from tells me he is from European lines and can give me proof. Thank you.

No they are mixes. If she can not show you papers from the Canadian Kennel Club or American Kennel cloud the isn’t any proof. Unfortunately I have seen this scam of people trying to say they have a pure bred black yorkie but it’s not.

We have one of those odd chocolate colored ones. Chocolate, tan, blonde, and a tad of black in spots. Not standard by any means but she is yorkie thru and thru. Sorry for pic quality. She is approx 3-4 yrs young. Emmi.
