| Having been away from my computer all week-end long and busy at work today, I'm just now finding this thread. At each posting, my eyes watered more and more but they turned to tears of joy when I read he was found! What an ordeal for you all but so very glad the ending was a happy one. You and Doug have experienced enough sadness lately. Many prayers to you, Doug, and his family during this time of grief.

| Just got back from the Vet...Had about 2 hours of sleep and gave Aggie about a 3 hour bath trying to get everything out....I just can't shave him.=( I got in my bathing suit and sat in bath with him...he seems so relieved to be home and safe with us....back in familiar territory. Poor guy had tons of ticks all over him. Looks like he went through some grassy stuff that he is allergic to, and has pussy bumbs all along his tummy. We shaved the hair off down there and he has some steroid creme and some antibiotic cream. The Vet said he looked very well hydrated, and couldn't believe the story about the town and everyone helping. I really wish that he could talk, I would have loved to have known his little adventure and the things going on in his mind. Thanks to the people that wrote in to the paper.....I have the names and addresses of the people that really stuck around and was hoping that ya'll would have an idea of what a good reward might be. And also I want to throw the names of the people out there who helped us. TJ & Sharon...they were with us from the very beginning, walking through the mud all day and all night. She printed up a bunch of flyers and posted them all over. Nicest family I have ever met. If any one wants to send them an email to let them know they are appreciated in our little yorkie world that would be great. Their email address is mrclean9588@sbcglobal.net. Amazing couple! Sharon's mom even came out the night we found Aggie and was one of the ones that spotted him. The other person was Colby Kesterson. He was 16 and was worried that his parents were going to ground him for being out so late, but he was also there when we found Aggie. =) He stayed in the park all night waiting to catch site of him. Great kid!!!! The other person that I would deem my "Hero" is Guy. I can't find any of his information so not sure what his last name is. But he was the one that came when he got off work with his pregnant girlfriend and sweated up a storm and actually was the one that found him. I owe these people so much!! I had a smile on my face the whole 7 hour ride home. Just the joy I felt when I picked him up and I knew he was safe with me was indescribabel! My heart felt like it was going to burst open! I don't know what I would do with out my Aggie. It was just me and him for a while and we have such a strong bond. Sometimes I feel like he is part human! He is my little best friend. =) On the other subject....yes we are definitley suing the hospital, the lawyers are more than confident that it will settle and won't even have to go to court. This hospital really screwed up on a proceedure that has practically a non exsistent fatality rate. He was a Mechanical Engineer that worked for an oil industry with at least 15 years of work left in him...they owe Joann (Doug's mom) a comfortable life. She has never had to work a day in her life....they were married in highschool and they have a daughter my age, 24 and Doug who is 30. IT is just so devestating! Thank you again to every one who sent up prayers... I know that it worked....because there is no way that we should ever have found him. It's said that 80% of dogs that are lost are never found. Thank God it was a happy ending for me!!!

| Amazing isn't it, or maybe it isn't. You drove into a small town, knowing no one. They were strangers when you arrived and far from being strangers when you left. During your nightmare in Malvern, you came away with new acquaintances and possible new friendships. It just goes to show you what people can do and the human spirit. WOW!!! And yes all the prayers for Mr. Aggie were heard and answered. God was watching out for him and protecting him. God knew that you and Doug had already dealt with so much in the loss of Doug's dad, so Aggie was protected and had himself an adventure. This might be a great lesson for all of us. Even though the car might be off, there are some cars that the power windows still work without the car on. My sister has one. |

| Wow I don't know if my goose-bumps will ever go away!! What a wonderful ending to a horribly stressful situation. My deepest sympathy for your loss. I guess it goes to show just how much love a yorkie can pull out of people. I Hope you can recover from this emotional rollercoaster you have been on quicker with your Aggie safe and sound. |

| It makes me so happy to read of the bond you have with Aggie. I can so relate. I'm betting Aggie won't want anymore baths for awhile after that one! I'm glad you didn't have to shave him down. He's probably glad, too! I'd be interested in knowing if he reacts differently toward thunderstorms from now on than the way you described he acted previously, especially having been out in that. Take care of yourselves.

| Sweetest email..... Quote:
I received the sweetest email just now.....he is so modest and so caring.....and is such a wonderful example of the way everyone should be... I travel to Ark a lot of my month...due to my job....and I will tell you this.....the people there are every bit as wonderful as you would find anyway in the country....many are just like MrClean. The heartache that your family has faced over the last several days, and the heartache you will continue to feel because of the hospital error...it cannot be taken away ......but, what you have found......is so very valuable.....that people are generally good hearted....and caring....and .......loving. You have been blessed to have met all these people when you are needing to feel love around you..... I am so happy that this has turned out the way it did...these people will always remain in your heart...... | |
