| How do your Yorkies amuse themselves in the heatwave? I need this weather to break! My guys are running out side to do their business and then dash back in. Usually they all play outside together (with supervision) for hours. Because it's so hot they have been upto all kinds of mischief inside as they haven't been excercised enough. With Roxy being so small, I have let her take to standing on the coffee table in the family room so that she can "play" face to face with the big dogs. Up to today this has not created so many problems - although Ruby has now taken to napping on the table and watching tv with us from there. TODAY I found my lab/dobie mix laying all over the coffee table with the pups climbing all over her! As soon as I pulled out my camera to take a picture she dashed from the room. Piper's smart enough to know that there better not be any evidence to show Daddy! What I did get a shot of.... well... let's just say that it's not Ruby's best day either..... I caught her enjoying a little hip thrust on Piper's head! (sorry it's a little fuzzy but I couldn't stop laughing!) J |

| Sissy has also been into mischief. Since Mommy has been spending lots of time on YT (even though I play fetch with her during this also), Sissy began eating the DVD shelves in the office today!!! She has never chewed on anything other than her toys, hands & feet until this. YIKES!!! I think she might be a little mad also as high school swim season conditioning began this week (I coach), which means she is in "her room" while I'm gone. Although this isn't new for her, it is more than she is used to. And it's only the beginning of the season. We really need it to cool down so I can take her for a walk again! P.S. Love that photo!

| We get up very early and we're walking at about 6 a.m. It's really nice out at that time of the morning. She's so worn out that you don't see much of her until noon! She used to be really hard to wake up of a morning. I thought she was a lazy dog. Not! She wakes me up now, because she has something that she is really excited about doing to look forward to. Every morning now she crawls over me and looks at me so cute wanting to see if I'm awake. She beats the alarm clock!
