| You remind me of myself a few years ago when I still had a few years left in college. I really wanted a yorkie but didn't know if I could handle it because of living away from home, long classes, etc. In the end, I decided to wait because I thought it was best and plus I wanted to wait til I could afford everything myself and not get any financial help from my parents. I just graduated from UCLA this December and finally bought my lil boy at the beginning of the summer. It was a good decision and now I get to play with Peanut without worrying about school : ) |

| I know different strokes for different folks, but I got a yorkie when I was in college and now, 4 years later, it lives with my sister I thought I had time for a dog, but I really didn't. It wasn't until I got married that I got another yorkie. But even now, with me working there is no way in h*ll that I could care for my dogs by myself. I think that unless you are a stay at home mom, it is a 2 person job. I could not have a dog if it weren't for my hubby helping out. Yorkies are especially demanding. Especially when they are puppies you have to really monitor them to make sure they eat enough and don't get hypoglocemic. However, there are a lot of college students on YT that have yorkies! You should try starting a thread about "Calling all college students" or something Get other's opinions on how they handle school and a yorkie. I think that would be the first place to start. Yorkies are fabulous! You would love one so much! I commend you for being responsible enough to really weigh your options before deciding to get a dog. |
