| Fighting I have a question for everyone. We have been gone for 9 days. I left Cowboy with the girl that I bought him from. We couldn't take him with us. We went to waterparks and the ocean. Well he did great and he loves to go to her house. She has other yorkies that he gets to play with. My question is... when he gets back home from being gone even if it is 2 days, he is mean to my other 2 outside dogs and tries to start fights for at least a full day. Do ya'll have any suggestions? I am afraid that my female dog might actually fight back. I usually just try to tell them no and keep them apart for the first few hours that we are back home. It is just scary. He is 1 1/2 and I have had him since 3 months old and they are 7 years old and I have had them since 2months old. I had someone come and stay with the other 2 dogs while I was gone.I think that is better for Peanut and Ginger. But, they had to work and I didn't want to leave Cowboy alone all day. Any suggestions would be grateful. Thanks

| The only thing I can think of to do is to keep them separated when you first come home.

| fighting I do not understand why some fight like this...I have had some who get all uppity when they have been away..they prance around like a rooster, daring anyone to start something..I always watch them close..they settle back in just fine. |

| That is kinda his attitude. Like, he is the boss and don't touch him. The two people that I get to keep him while I am gone, both have other dogs that he is around the whole time he is there. The one that he stayed with this time said that he did fine. One of her little females, that is a pound lighter than him pushed him around a bit. But, they got along fine after that. It just really makes me nervous when we have been gone. Ginger weighs 14 lbs and he only weighs 4 and i am afraid that she might fight back. She is the boss around here. Do yall think that he will have a hard time adjusting to a new puppy?
