| It sounds like a scam to me. I didn't realize there were so many puppy scams until I answered an online ad. The woman told me she was a missionary in Africa and that the climate was not good for her puppy. She was offering the pup for free, but the shipping was where she would've got me. I reported her and I continue to report every one I see because that's the only way to try to put a stop to them. |

| I was not really worried about a breeder ripping me off..Most breeders have positive feed back and references .. That is why I joined Yorkietalk He was not a breeder and his deal was to good to be true . ..That is why I posted this discussion ....Which I knew it sounded fishy it is just hard when you get your hopes up... I have been doing some research and for a 4lb to 5lb yorkie is going to run me $800.00 for pet quality .. As we all know you get what you pay for ..So I will need to save up some more money ... |

| If it sounds fishy, it probably is. Someone with a shipping agent is a big red flag for me. The breeder I am working with got taken a few times. She now only accepts cashiers checks, money orders or cash. She wanted payment in full by the time my baby is 8 weeks old. I did not really feel comfortable with that. I had already given her a good deposit. I told her I was not comfortable and she said it was fine if I paid the balance due when I pick up Gracie and sign the contract at that time. I figure if I am going to get taken, it will be for my deposit and not the full amount. This way, the final payment is under my control. If I don't like what I see, if Gracie looks sick or the puppies don't look well cared for, I can walk away. I guess I'm just not very trusting.
