Aww thanks. I posted in Tiger's thread for his surgewy, we are praying and sending hugs. It bothers me only because of the ant thing. I don't mind picking it up, there are usually only like 4-5 around but I just prefer that she not do it.

Maddie does it too. She brings a mouth full to the rug, the solution is to get more yorkies lol. The other three help her eat what she brings. It is so cute, she drops the food and they all get pieces. My other three don't do it they only get one piece at a time from the bowl and take it to the sofa to eat.

I know those that work do not have as much time as I have but I sit down with Chloe and Lacey while they eat and encourage them to eat their "crunchees". When they finish, I take their bowls up and we go outside for potty. After a time, they are so used to this routine, they do not eat until I'm on the floor with them.

I had a MILLION ants all over my kitchen last night. Took over 2 hours to clean it. I just know it was a combination of her leaving her food around and also the heat, so it's not entirely her fault. The little crapper, can't help but love her, she's so cute but she def. learned this morning that mommy doesn't like that habit. I put her in my room today so she doesn't get ants on her incase they come back. She started eating and she started to drag it and I firmly but nicely said NO, took her back to her bowl where she looked at me weird then just at her kibbles there What a good girl

I spread out a cheap shower curtain on the floor and bought a roll of "newsprint roll ends" from an agency who prints advertizing inserts for the newspaper. I roll out the clean unprinted newspaper over the shower curtain and put the X-pen and her crate on top of this with her toys and kibble. My husband is home at lunch to let her outside, but I have put a pee-pad in the X-pen if no one was going to be home during the day.

This has worked great for us, and may be a thought for you.
